Jay had woken up in the hospital abruptly. He calmly observed his surroundings, the doctor was present and making some notes in his note pad with a nurse. He calmly looked around and it dawned on him that she was not there. He could suddenly remember everything that had happened in his past and felt really sad that he had ever forgotten about her. His delay in memory must have caused Bella to slip away from his hands. He began sitting up as he still felt the looming headache in his head and quite lightheaded. The doctor hurried over to assist him asking him to take it easy. How could he expect him to take it easy, he needed to find her as soon as possible. He could not accept the fact that she was gone away from his reach.
"I need to go doctor ",he said to the doctor trying to get his feet down.
Just then, the door opened and Stella entered as hysterical as anyone could be. She must have not realized that he had his memories yet, so he decided to keep pretending. The doctor himself had no idea. So he let her do her little gimmicks. She held onto him crying her eyes out and fussing over him. She demanded to know if he was okay and he assured her that he was except for the tingling headache he was feeling. She assured him that he would be fine.
"Do you remember anything? ", Stella asked him suddenly as though realizing that she was yet to find out.
Jay had not forgotten how he treated her and drew his arms away from her asking her if there was any memory she kept in his head. His acting was obviously superb as even the confused looking doctor had taken it in.
He had said, "Do not worry, your memories would soon come back ".
Jay informed him that he was rather becoming impatient about the whole delay as he felt like he had been missing out on really important things. Stella told him to remain calm as everything would fall into place gradually.
"An old friend is here to see you ",she said to him and he wondered just who she had brought this time amongst her cronies.
She stepped out and returned with Pablo. Jay nearly gave up his acting. He had to quickly replace the anger in his face with a blank expression. He had just confirmed his fears, she was still working with Pablo and he was going to keep playing along until he had gathered all the much evidence he needed to nail them both. He greeted the smiling demon briskly and made an excuse that he had been really tired.
Of course, he had apologized to Pablo for not being able to recognize and wondered if they were that close. The man chuckled and told Jay how hurt he felt that his own best friend could not remember him. He had been out of the country when he had heard of Jay's accident and had only just returned to the country and had to rush to see him. He felt really disappointed that he still could not recognize him and hopefully, he would get his memories soon and make him feel better.
Man, his lies were beginning to irritate Jay as he was not sure he could keep up with this act regardless of how much he tried. He began to feign feeling rather too lightheaded and nearly fell, the doctor asked that he layed down as they were going to fix him on drip. He asked the nurse to go get the drip while Stella excused herself to go see off Pablo. The two sure did deserve each.
As soon as they were gone, Jay began anticipating his next move.
