Seduction failed.

"Ahhh" Kylie screamed, tossing things to the ground. 

Amarynthia tried to calm her down but to no avail,

"Kylie, behave yourself. You were so lucky to be spared. The king is ferocious, you have to be a snake to quench the Alpha thirst" she breathes out, " I mean you have to be sly and smart. Know the Alpha's ways and act it out. That is the only way you can survive"

Kylie bit her lips, she was always ready to be anything but every first impression matters. The king's first impression of her made her afraid to look at his face.

Kylie agreed with Amarynthia, and sat down as Amarynthia explained the ways of the king to her. She smiled; the words of Amarynthia made it easy for her to make the king hers.

Someone knocked on the door, Amarynthia stood up and opened the door, and a soldier informed her about the Alpha's instructions. Amarynthia smiled and rushed to Kylie.

"The Alpha has summoned you. It's your time to act. Don't make a mistake and listen; the king is smarter than you think" 

Kylie nodded and left for the Alpha's room. Her heart thudded in her chest as she strode to the Alpha's room. The more steps she took, the more fear gripped her.

She took a few breaths and knocked on the Alpha's door.

"Come in," Alex's domineering voice said.

She gulped hard, remembering the things he did to her not long ago. Her face still hurt from the slap.

With shaky hands, she entered his room and walked to where the Alpha was seated. 

"Won't you close the door?" Alex said with a ferocious gaze.

"Oh no, that gaze could kill" Kylie thought to herself. She hurriedly closed the door and sat on his furry sofa. Alex glared at her, Kylie stood up instantly, she knew what it meant.

She took a deep breath and mustered her courage to speak out,

"I'm sorry for my disrespectful act. I am clueless about the palace's rules. I got excited when I saw you earlier… please forgive me, Alpha" Kylie spat out, playing with her fingers.

Kylie waited patiently for Alex's response. Then Alex instructed her to sit; she smiled and adjusted her clothes to display her cleavage.

Kykie sat on the sofa and noticed Alex's stares on her cleavage. She smiled, knowing her plan is working fine. On the other hand, Alex knew her tactics was to seduce him and get his trust.

The only person he thought about was Nova. He wished Nova was the chosen bride. He smiled as he reminisced her touch on his arm and her smile as she thanked him.

But pain filled his heart when he remembered her words as she claimed Asher to be her mate. 

He stared at Kylie and thought of using her to forget Nova. His focus must not be weakened by a woman who can't be his.

"Why are you here? What do you gain from being my bride?" Alex asked, shrugging off the thought of Nova.

Kylie was taken aback, she wondered why he asked her a silly question. 

"I was brought here to be your bride… that is my reason for being here. And I am Kylie"

"I know, the daughter of minister Blackwood and Asher's sister" 

Kylie was surprised and excited that the alpha was interested in her. Her thoughts flew as Alex stood up and sat beside her.

She gulped hard, terrified of what his next action is. Alex hand drew closer to her face and she flinched, afraid of his move.

Alex smirked,

"I won't hurt you, I want to adjust your clothes. Don't try to be seductive to me again, it won't work for me" Alex said as he adjusted her clothes.

Kylie chuckled and held his hands, she became bold, 

"When the lion puts his guard down, you strike" Amarynthia's words resounded in her ears.

She brought his hands to her breasts, her hands roaming through his lap. In the meanwhile, Alex felt Kylie had become audacious to seduce him. He decided to go with the flow.

Alex brought Kylie to sit on his lap, and caress her face,

"I am all yours now" He said, permitting her to continue.

Kylie bit her lips, she moved her lips closer to his. she held his face and licked his lips.

Then Alex, plunged his lips on hers, kissing her mercilessly. He savored every taste of her, he hands groped her butt, grinding each other at the same rhythm.

"Hmm" Kylie moaned as they kept kissing.

She removed his hand from her butt and placed it on her breasts indicating her breasts needed his attention. Alex halted the kisses and their breath ragged.

Alex stared at her breast lustfully and back to her face; shades of Nova's face flashed through his eyes, he pushed Kylie to the ground and drove his hand into his head.

No matter how much he tries to forget her. His heart still longs for her.

"Leave, Kylie" Alex beckoned, massaging his temples.

Kylie felt reluctant to leave, she knew something sparked his attention away from her. She moved closer to him and tried to touch him.

"GET OUT! Is that too hard for you to understand"  Alex yelled out, holding her neck tightly.

Kylie hit his hand continuously, Alex threw her to the ground and she left the room in fear, 

"He is truly crazy" Kylie thought to herself as she left his room.

Alex summoned Camen, he longed to see Nova once more. He felt he would go crazy without seeing her face again.

Camen entered Alex's room,

"What's wrong, Alpha?" Camen asked out of curiosity.

"Let's go out to hunt, I need to get Nova out of my mind" 

Camen nodded his head and left to prepare for the hunting materials.

As Alex stood up, he staggered; he held his head as he felt a splitting headache. His eyes were drowsy.

"What's wrong with me?" He thought to himself as he slipped away into darkness. Alex's body laid lifeless on the ground
