Tears.

" Take it back!"

I was boiling with anger. My face had gotten red and I could feel the trickle of sweat down my back.

" Take what back?"Laura asks. She stared at me like she didn't understand what I was saying.

" What you said about my mum deserving what she got. She did nothing wrong to you and you have no right to insult her" I was so angry that I only breathe-in short, raspy breaths.

Laura stepped closer once more to me... so close that I could feel her breath on my face.

" I didn't have water in my mouth when I said it so there is nothing to take back.

Our lives were going smoothly until you and your stupid mother walked in and messed everything up. She was a harlot all her years and that was what lead to her early ....."

She was cut short as I raised my hands to slap her, but she, being very swift, unfortunately caught my hands before it reached her face.

" Don't you dare!. Don't just try it. You know how very badly this will end if we decide to go down this lane" Laura spat angrily. She dug her claws into my wrist and blood flowed down in tiny streams down my arm. The pain went straight to my head.

" Stop it, You're hurting me! " I begged. I tried to pull her fingers from my hands but couldn't. The morale and confidence that my anger brought me had simmered away and I was left with all the pain and weakness that came from it.

Normally, this kind of thing wouldn't cause the slightest pain to a wolf, not even the weakest kind, but my condition made the situation worse as I didn't even have half the strength I needed to endure things like this.

Laura ignored my pleas " Apologize!" she commanded.

I didn't relent. I wasn't the one who started this so why should I be the one to apologize?.

" Apologize!" she commanded again. He claws were in so deep that I felt a vein would burst any moment from now if she didn't stop.

Mrs Gladys who had being watching us this whole time stood up and pulled Laura's hand from mine.

" Now Laura, it wouldn't do us good if she dies by our hands or if someone sees us doing something bad to her. Besides, your engagement party will be coming up soon and we wouldn't want your reputation to be ruined, would we?" she gave me a long, hard gaze, pulling her daughter away from me.

Laura scoffed and stormed away in anger.

I fell to the ground, the pains seeping through my brain, the blood still flowing down, staining my dress.The flower I had picked lay on the floor, squashed flat.

I ripped a piece of my dress as I tied it around my wrist trying to stop the bleeding. Hot tears rolled down my cheeks and I stood up shakily, walking out of the yard, my vision blurred and with no direction in mind.

I really need to get out of this mess.
