Learn to Hide

After spending the day relaxing and joking around the next morning Aego handed over a mid size backpack full of sandwiches and snacks to Sasori who took it excitedly with her beastkin like sense of smell the aroma from the backpack was pleasant even with several different smells overlapping she could sniff out certain smells that made her drool. With a light karate chop to her head don't eat it all or your gonna eat fruits for a week again. I know. Looking at Aela lets go with a burst of mana she ran off in a direction Aela soon followed after.

Lets get going too they dashed in the same direction but at a casul pace. After a few hours Aego stopped found one. Luna who was behind slowed down curious to what he found. With a sudden dash Aego disappeared a few seconds later he came walking out holding a little black ball of fur while petting its little head with a little horn. Upon a closer inspection it was a bunny with its ominous red eyes.

After walking a few minutes they saw a clearing up ahead with a slightly overgrown field of grass that was a foot tall. Your training is simple all you have to do is catch this guy here. Walking towards the middle Aego stopped and started to chant a spell a few seconds later a magic circle slowly appeared from under his feet and slowly expanded in range until it had a diameter of a hundred feet. Suddenly the magic circle gave a faint glow before fading. Letting the bunny go the clever Luna lunged at it trying to catch it in the air while it was unable to change direction. To her surprise the bunny blurred and disappeared as her hand went through the after image of the bunny.

The bunny is within the circle go catch it. Luna stood still and surveyed the area and saw the grass sway immediately jumped at the spot. Just as she saw the bunny again it blurred and disappeared again. Exhausted after a few hours of running after the rabbit Luna laid there with sweat on her hair that clung on to her skin she breathed in heavily staring at the clear blue sky. Aego slowly walked up what was one of the first things I told you to do. Think? Whats my purpose in this training? Hmmm purpose? She closed her eyes and visualized her failed attempts.

Minutes passed as she laid there resting while pondering what the goal was. Is it speed? But am I to learn it from the bunny. I can't see it so that can't be it. Huh! I can't see could it be. Opening her eyes and shooting up in a sitting position. Looking at Luna seems like she figured it out but it still won't be easy. Luna realized that she spent most of her time looking for the rabbit rather than actually chasing the rabbit. With mana in her eyes she was able to follow the path of the rabbit for a brief second and was able to chase it but she would always lose sight of it. My purpose of this training is hiding. So once she spotted the grass sway instead of leaping at it she crouched her knees slightly and quietly walked over twenty feet away the little bunny's ear raised up. Luna froze on the spot thinking she was spotted. The bunny looked around but the grass limited its view unable to see anything it continued hopping around.

With a sigh of relief Luna continued to walk fifteen feet away the bunny's ears perked up again and again Luna froze on the spot. The bunny looked around like before and continued to move just as Luna was about take a step the bunny vanished. How? She sat down thinking to herself. Aego who was observing while cooking watched as Luna went into deep thought. He could tell her but it wouldn't be as good as if she had realized it herself. She replayed the scene over her mind again and again but came to the same conclusion she didn't know how. Helpless she wanted to give up but a slight breeze blew an aroma to her nose. Lifting her nose up as she was hungry but a second sniff and she realized her answer it smelled me.

Time to eat Luna. Luna walked over and received her meal as Aego had already prepared her serving. Any idea on how it found you? Hmm I think it smelled me. I still have to try it to find out. Thinking to herself how do I hide my smell or how did it smell me. She ate her food lost in thought. It is common knowledge to stalk prey from downwind as the wind will blow your scent away but for someone who has never hunted before it would be puzzling. He wouldn't tell her but that didn't stop him from giving her hints he had blocked the wind when it blew the barbecue meat towards her. Gnawing on the bone she continued to think. While Aego walked around minding his own business always walking in front of her after a breeze.

Ah! coming to a realization she tossed her plate up as she scurried away trying to find the bunny. Aego who was nearby caught the plate and watched as she ran off to catch the bunny. With the wind blowing against her face she started to stalk her prey. The closer she got the more excited she grew and the harder her heart pounded ten feet the bunny perked its ears up and after a few seconds it dashed off in the opposite direction. Again she sat down and pondered on how she was spotted. Aego would often walk up to her when he was beside her he would say something scaring her.
