chapter 35 revelation

she wanted to make sure the day before wasn't a dream so she checked the news and sure enough there was news on the gala,as the host was a very influential figure,now she was sure that last night wasn't actually a dream but real life.

She smiled thinking about the previous night event,she didn't have to go to school so she stayed in bed daydreaming,she soon stood up and arranged the bed before going to clean herself up,she went down and saw her mom on her phone in front of her was breakfast which she didn't touch.

she was on her phone smiling and giggling which Alexa found weird.

Morning mom,she said and sat down to eat breakfast as her mom completely ignored her.

Mom can you pass me the ketchup,Alexa said and was completely ignored once more,she stood up frustrated and went closer to her mom.

What the h*ll mom,she said and her mom was startled.

What's wrong?,she asked.

You've being ignoring me since I came down,what are you looking at,Alexa asked and took a peep at her mom phone but she hid it.

It's nothing,just work,she lied.

She didn't know Alexa already knew she was texting a guy,which she blabbed about the day before as she was drunk,she had no idea she had already told Alexa about it.

Yeah...sure,she said not exposing her,she ate her breakfast peacefully and soon got a message from her phone,it was from an unknown number and it said"in the middle of a lie there is a truth,think deeper and find it"she furrowed her brows as she saw this and dismissed herself from breakfast as she had no appetite.

She went up to her room and pondered on the message she received,she tried calling the number but it was incorrect.

She felt suffocated inside her room and decided to go outside,she sat outside the porch still thinking about the message when her mom out.

She was dressed in a red chevrolet dress and looked really stunning on her with the nude lipstick she applied.

I'll be going to work now,she said not looking her in the eyes.

she didn't need to look at her mom to know she was lying.

I might not come back early,so heat the food in the microwave,she added.

Yeah don't bore your date,Alexa murmured and she didn't hear it.

Alexa was still struggling as she went into the house going deeper into thought, suddenly a dark mist surrounded her and she could see the same incident she saw in her dream,it was of her father who was stabbed by the king.

why was she seeing this...,it was just a dream right..,what was happening,she thought as a scene she had never seen before came up,as her father laid dead on the floor,the figure of a woman appeared when the king was out of sight,the picture was blurry and alexa couldn't see clearly so she squinted but could make out the figure.

she moved closer in hopes of seeing the figure clearly,the woman was wearing a hood and when she bent down to her dad m,she removed the hood and alexa saw the bright hair colour and she could vaguely see the witch whom she visited with Ayden and confusion stormed in.

She could hear anything but saw the witch mouth moved as she said"am sorry love before pecking him gently as he turned to mist.

as the woman stood up,she could clearly see that she was pregnant as the mist dissolved and Alexa was left in utter confusion.

The witch was dad's lover,she thought loudly,she was again clouded with different emotions and soon golden mist covered the air and Alexa fell asleep,when she woke up she was in a strange yet familiar environment...and it wasn't her home.

She stood up and observed the house she was in,she saw potions in a shelf and could guess that she was no longer in the human realm.

You finally up,she heard a calm voice say and she traced the voice to a figure in the room.

I..,she said and was cut short by the witch.

I know you have a lot of questions,c'mon take this first,she said and gave her a green mixture.

she seemed hesitant to collect it till the witch drank it confirming it was safe,she collected it and drank,it was bland and had no taste.

What was that?,she asked as she returned the bottle to her.

It's to control your powers so it won't bring you here often,she said and Alexa realized it was her power that brought her here after she saw the revelation.

It can get out of control sometimes whenever your not sane and you could be exposed,she added in a calm voice.

The dream...I..had wa..sn't really..a dream right,she asked fidgeting.

No.., it happened,she said with a choked voice.

Can you please tell me what happened,Alexa asked curious.

The vampires and witches lived in harmony though once in a while they always quarrelled,one faithful day one of the vampires had an affair with a witch and that caused them to drift,they were kicked out from the vampire land,so we let them stay with us,they gave birth to a son,he was the sweetest being in us all,but as he grew.. he would naturally go hunt as was powerful infact considered more powerful than the king,when the king learned about this,he summoned him to the palace and wanted him on his side but we didn't let him as he cast them out before,she said and paused before continuing.

Because we didn't let him go,it cause the first war ever between the vampires and witches after their separation,the boy's parent were killed as they were not high ranked and didn't have much powers to defend themselves,to stop the war the boy voluntarily decided to help the king,she said and looked at Alexa who looked at her in confusion.

The boy was my d..dad right?,she said nervously.
