Chapter sixty eight

Gavin was around today. He was seated on Amelia's swivel chair and when she walked into the office, she was surprised to see him there.

Due to how awkwardly things had ended last night, the air was tense and Amelia said nothing to him. She shut the door behind her, walked to one of the sofas, and dropped her bag on the handle before settling into the chair.

She took out her phone and dialed Pope's number, hoping he'd pick up.

"Ignoring me now, huh?" Gavin asked from across the room and threw his legs on the desk.

Amelia scoffed and focused on the call she was making. Pope picked up after a few rings and she was relieved to be rid of thoughts concerning Gavin's presence in her office after disappearing for weeks.

"Pope, I'm around. Is there anything I can assist you with before the board meeting begins?" She asked.
