The Ethically Sourced Wands

When Dante and Freya entered Ollivanders, the place smelled like wood and a mixture of discarded monster parts that the wands were made from.

The bell at the door signaled their arrival in the store.

Garrick Ollivander came out from the back of the store, where his wand workshop is located.

When he saw Dante and Freya, his white hair shot up in shock for a moment. He had never seen a witch and wizard so full of raw and untamed magic. One of the skills that Garrick uses to find the right wand for someone is his ability to see the amount of magic someone contains in their body and how they use it.

But when Garrick looked at these two, it was like looking at the heart of magic itself.

Garrick snapped out of his shock and approached Dante and Freya, saying,

"Dear guests, welcome to my humble wand shop. How can I help you today?"

Freya took the lead talking to Garrick, saying,

"Sir Ollivander, we are here to acquire a set of wands for personal use since we are new to this country. We come from the Wizarding World of the United States, but there we do not use wands to cast magic. I believe you call this wandless magic. But don't be confused; this situation only applies to us, not other wizards in the United States. So, in order to fit in better here in London, we thought it necessary to acquire wands for ourselves."

Garrick looked at Freya and thought about these words for a moment. Then, when he was about to reject these two, Dante flashed Garrick his Magic Card. When he saw this, his eyes lit up with money symbols.

These two are loaded if they have access to the Magic Card of Gringotts bank. Garrick is in dire need of money. These kids never have the necessary coin to pay for his truly premium products.

Even that stingy Voldemort never paid for a premium wand. Despite his half-ass claims about being a half-blood prince or whatever nonsense, he is still as broke as the rest of them.

For these two, they need wands that act as a focal point for their magic. Garrick had a few choices in mind when he answered them.

"Oh, you need a pair of my ultra-premium wands. Why didn't you say so? My favorite customers are ones with money and plenty of it. Please follow me, and we will take a look at what I have in stock."

As Garrick led Freya and Dante deeper into his wand shop, Dante saw that the walls were lined with wands that contained countless pieces of different monsters.

Looking at Garrick as he led them deeper into the store, Dante asked,

"Garrick, are the pieces of monsters used to make these wands ethically sourced?"

Garrick almost tripped over his own robe when he heard this question. What does this guy mean by ethically sourced? Garrick straightened himself out and stopped for a moment. Then he turned to look at Dante and Freya, saying,

"Of course, the monster parts I use in my wands are ethically sourced. Why, what have you heard? If it's those animal activist wizards again, they are a bunch of tree-hugging hippie losers who are broke and jealous because they can't afford my wands."

Dante and Freya both looked at each other with a knowing look in their eyes.

Then they both simultaneously thought the same thing.

"This guy is so full of shit!" ×2

But they kept silent, deciding to play along with Garrick's claim of ethically sourced wand parts.

Then, thinking that Dante and Freya bought his claims of ethically sourced wand parts, he led them to the back of his wand shop.

Back in this room, Dante and Freya were exposed to one of the hidden truths of the Wizarding World.
