Taylor

We drove to the island as intended. As we slowly drove, I stared at the window. It was always cool when you were driving from a city area to a forested one. From a place filled with lights and noise to a greener location with silence surrounding it. All you hear was just sound of the plants surrounding you or the animals just living their lives. No sounds were from a device of such or a huge television on a building.

"Well, here we are," Edward pulled over.

"Why are we here? You lot of kids don't have the desire to do something more? Fun?" Sky scoffed as he jumped out of the van.

We looked at him annoyed. What an absolute dick.

"You don't have a problem with that do you?" Jackson glared at him again.

"Better that letting your niece's parents die." I walked of to open up the cabin.

I smelled the fresh smell of life. This was how we were supposed to live like. Not in huge tall buildings or in a home filled with machines. Coffee was made manually here and the food here was all freshly harvested or killed. I felt more at home.

I sat my stuff down only to notice that someone had opened our window. I walked towards the table with a note on it. My heart raced. I did try to control it however it was difficult. This place was all I had of my parents.

"Hey! Look a note! We are now being stalked yay!" Edward smiled waving the note at me,"Its me Taylor. Sky I'm being watched please help me."

After Edward finished reading, Sky went into a frenzy.

"Oh that poor kid!" He ran around opening every door he could.

"He didn't even say that when my parents died." I complained raising both hands up.

"Taylor!" Sky called holding onto Taylor's body.

Edward took out a pocket knife and slashed the rope that tied around Taylor's strained neck. As Taylor fell to the ground and Sky caught him.

"Son?"Sky gently slapped onto Taylor's face.

"Only if you would have caught my parents soul when they left and placed it back into their body."I complained again rolling my eyes.

I carried Taylor's unconscious body and brought everyone to the car. Everyone followed along hoping that Taylor would be fine. As I help him I felt a small sense of familiarity. As if I had done so before. I gently laid him down on the couch of the van.

"There now," I covered him with a blanket before closing the door and locking it.

I started the van up while four pairs of eyes stared at me.

I gave Edward the front seat since he was a better driver before tending to Taylor.

"We are being watched." I explained when we were on the road," where to now?"

"I could sense something was up," Edward spoke, "To my island."

"You mean that puny little space?" Sky scoffed, "don't be ridiculous."

"Not as if you have one," Edward fought back.

I tried to ignore their childish bickering. Luna was the quietest so I did appreciate her for that.

"Oh yea? The island we just left is mine." Sky's proud words were soon blown off my me.

"Sweetheart hate to bust your bubble but that island is under my name." I gave a sarcastic smile before turning away to check on Taylor.

This boy may be able to provide us with information that could save us

"You are my niece though," Sky reasoned.

"Don't even call me that." I turned to him and smiled.

"Where am-" Taylor got up and looked around, "Sterling!" He hugged me like old friends.

"How do you know me?" I pulled away.

"Forgot to tell you, she lost some of her memory due to trauma her uncle caused." Edward smiled, "so if you knew her in the past, she probably forgot."

"You forgot me..." He sat down in fear.

I stared at him. Why was he so devasted? Were we that close? Ew. I forgot how it felt to have relationships with people. I stared at his disappointed face. He shed a tear.

"Is it because of Mother's and Father's death?" He asked.

"How did you know?" I questioned.

My head hurt. I tried hard to remember a boy in my life named Taylor. Was he my brother? My ears rung. It was not like a dog whistle. The ringing felt as if it was piercing my head. I held onto the table. I was losing it. My head spun like mad. The car was not helping.

"Ster?" I opened my eyes, exhausted, to be greeted by a little boy.

"Chester?" I called.

"Yea?" A low voice spoke again.

I blinked my eyes several more times. Why was this young boy here? I kept blinking only to find myself in the van.

"You are Taylor not Chester why did I recall Chester?" I crawled backwards, fear crippled up.

I hates reviving memories.

"Because Taylor's my fake name." He sighed.

"Look, I came from the Silver hunters. That where my real parents are but I ran away at a young age to meet your parents. I loved them but my parents did not. I was caught and brought back to my biological family. It was only recently that I heard about Mother's and Father's death." He sat down on the floor to level with me.

Was I supposed to believe him? It sounded like a very well-rehearsed story. I tuned to Edward since we grew up together he should know who I was close with and who I hated.

"What did we fight about constantly?" Edward questioned.

"Well, I promised not to say are you sure you are okay with me saying such?" Chester gave an nervous laugh.

Edward did not respond. He swerved to the right and pulled over. which made me anxious. Did I just take in the wrong guy? Edward got off his seat. I noticed how calm he was. Claws were not extended, breathing was steady and even his heartbeat was steady. Edward ran to hug Chester like old friends.

"My guy! Chester its so good to have you back. Took you years huh," Edward sighed with laughter following it.

I smiled. It was the first time in a long time Edward smiled genuinely. It was beautiful yet I felt a little pissed. Why must he make me so nervous with such a reaction.

"Thank god I remembered Edward or else I don' t think I would trust anyone." I laughed.

We had a small reunion before going back onto the road. It was necessary to keep moving. We had to be always alert and on the move. Every wall is watching us, every tree and every molecule surrounding us. Eyes of every human watches our every step, our every move. No where felt safe. Not even in your parent's arm. Danger was all around.

We got back onto the road and decided that Edward's island was enough for us, well for now. And as for our studies, well we would have another time to speak about that. Needless to say, it was the least of our worries.

"If my island is invaded where do we go?" Edward asked, peeping at us through the rear mirror.

Everyone fell silent. We soon realised that we were basically 'homeless'. We had nowhere safe to go. Home was where I felt safe. It was the reason Mother had a hard time teaching me what home meant. I remembered Mother explaining how her arms was not home. It was always her biggest issue.

"Where is home?"

"Here!" I pointed to her arms.

"No!" Mother would exclaim for the tenth time before laying on the floor in exhaustion.
