Chapter eighty-six

"Ah those pesky humans have arrived," he said with a hateful grin. He gave me a side-eye, 

"Wouldn't you like to see them grovel in pain and anguish?" he said, pointing out a finger to them and as if on command the ferals scattered about left whoever they were attacking and went straight towards the army heading our way with their tanks.

With Jane by my side, she whispered to me.

"I know why you hesitate but don't let your feelings cloud your judgement. He isn't the same Alex you knew before" she turned to me."You need to end it now, finish him" she said in a serious tone. 

I looked back between him, Jane, and the crowd of lifeless people on the floor. 

I gave in, it was for the best. The look of determination evident on my face I moved forward and he stopped taking a glance at me.

"Where is the newfound confidence coming from?" He laughed a little but his face faltered a bit. I kept walking up to him.
