Magic Awakening Ceremony ends

"What is your relationship with her?" Mr White asked after Chelsea left.

"She is just a friend... " Aiden said with a shrug.

"Hmm," Mr White nodded. He then turned to the crowd and announced the end of the Magic Awakening ceremony. He also made sure to warn the students not to leave and wait for the Health service vehicles to appear.

Mr White then ordered the principals to take their students away after the Health service professionals who came to check if everything is alright confirmed that everything was alright and no one was hurt.

Through out this process, even though begrudgingly, Aiden and Ace were forced to sit through the entire thing even though they weren't hurt.

*********

"Some 'just a friend' she is," Ace said when they finally got a free time.

"What is wrong with you? If you like her then tell her!" Aiden said. Ever since Mr White asked him about their relationship, Ace has been pestering him like this agai n and again, making him greatly annoyed.

"Of course, I like her!" Ace blurted without any shame, "After all, who wouldn't like someone like her?"

"I wouldn't like someone like her. So she is just a friend," Aiden explained.

"Hah.... Seems like you are truely blind," Ace said. "Anyway, how do you plan on leaving tommorrow?"

"Tommorrow?"

"Yes. She told as she will be sending us to the Academy tommorrow," Ace said. "It's going to be quite problematic after all, we have to explain everything to our parents and also prepare for everything just this evening!"

"True," Aiden nodded his head. In his case, there was no way he could prepare in just one night.

The fact that he had to convince his parents to agree was also another thing.

He had to find a way to talk to Chelsea to give them some time. At least three days would do.

"I was surprised though," Ace said dragging Aiden from his wandering thoughts.

"Surprised?"

"Yeah. I mean, we both know that there is no way we will be able to prepare. In fact convincing our parents alone might even take an entire day!" Ace explained. "So I was surprised that you didn't say anything about lengthening the time when Chelsea said we are leaving tommorrow!"

"Sigh— I would if I realised it. I was just thinking about alot of things at the same time." Aiden said, rubbing his hand through his hair in frustration. "I will go and talk to her after we are able to leave."

"Oh, so that's why!" Ace suddenly exclaimed making the face of someone who has just figured something out.

"What?"

"You didn't complain about it because you wanted to talk to her later," Ace said and Aiden rolled his eyes.

"I am going to the library. You can come if you want!" Aiden said with a snort. He couldn't believe that Ace would be coming up with all these conspiracy theories just to tease him.

"Oh, okay. You really are my greatest brother," Ace started to praise him after he agreed to make him escort him.

Aiden just snorted and looked away.

********

Soon enough, the so-called ceremony ended and everyone was allowed to go home. Aiden and Ace decided to go to the library together.

Aiden couldn't decline Ace's offer to join him to the library since Ace would make sure to make up some 'theories' as to why he didn't want him to join.

Aiden could only sigh helplessly and let him tag along. After all, he didn't know what Ace could come up with if he didn't allow him to tag along.

Aiden and Ace soon walked out of the school gates. As they walked out though, Aiden couldn't help but notice that people were looking at them whilst gossiping.

'It seems like rumours are going to go around soon," Aiden sighed as he thought.

He and Ace had brought this to themselves. First, Ace had a golden aptitude with his magic and then Secondly, his friend, Aiden knew the person who had come to save them.

After all this, there was no way the would stay the way they were. They were now quite popular and known among the student populace.

"Aiden, are you okay?"

Aiden heard a familiar voice as he was lost in thought snapping him out of his daze.

Turning his head to the source of the voice, he saw a beautiful middle-aged woman staring back at him with worry in her eyes.

Aiden was very familiar with this woman. She was the person who had made him who he was today. She was the person who had trained him and also cared for him ever since his birth.

It was his mother.

"Mom? Dad? What are you doing here?"

Aiden asked. Yes, the reason he mentioned his dad was because he was here too. Even Brianna was here.

"Are you alright?" His mother ignored his question and instead aked hers.

"I am alright!" Aiden nodded. He had already guessed why his parents were here.

After everything that happened, there was no way they wouldn't have heard of it.

In fact, they weren't the only parents here either. There were other parent who also came to pick their children after they heard what happened.

"We heard something happened and we came to check on you!" Mr Acker said.

"Hmm," Aiden nodded.

Just then, Brianna left her father's hand and rushed towards him. Aiden looked at her, and she asked innocently,

"Aiden, you are a Mage right now right? What power do you have?"

"Ehhh—"

Aiden was speechless. He turned his eyes to his parents and he realised that they were also looking at him with expectations seemingly waiting for his answer.

"We heard that you and Ace had the highest talents recorded!" Mrs Acker added.

However, what she know was that Aiden himself didn't know what his power was.

Damn! He didn't even know if he had awakened much less know the power he had.
