Chapter 9 His approach

Celindra looks down to her coffee as she close her eyes. Kanina niya pa pinipigilang umiyak. She can't believe that a reader actually felt like that towards her creations, her babies.

Nung narinig niya ang bawat salita ni Sam, sobrang sarap sa feeling. Her efforts, time, mental, emotional and physical stress have been washed by his words.

'If her readers felt like that towards her babies, then it's worth it.' Celindra thought.

After composing herself, she drank her coffee and eat some biscuit.

"Oh right. Do you have anything to do later?" Sam asked. Tumingin si Celindra kay Sam at nahalata niya agad ang mapupula nitong tenga. She chuckled.

"None. I just need to go home by 6 pm." Celindra said and sneakily eat the cupcake while Sam is looking at his cup.

"I- Can we go to Cinema?" Sam is very nervous and drank his coffee. It made him look up. Only to see Celindra's eating the cupcake. Celindra stop munching the cupcake and froze. She blinks and put down the remaining cupcake and act innocent, looking everywhere but him.

Nagulat naman si Sam sa inakto ni Celindra. 'Cute,' he thought. Sam chuckled.

"Why did you stop eating?" Celindra only looks at him and blink. So Sam said; "Go on. You seem to like sweet foods. But don't always eat those things, too much isn't good to your health." When Celindra heard that, she smiled and eat the remaining cupcake while nodding.

"My sister loves to eat sweet things too. She grew fat." Sam chuckled before he continue; "Now she is pushing herself to slim down. Three of her permanent teeth is now gone because of sweets." Sam shook his head while smiling.

"Hmm." Celindra drank some water. "I only eat sweets on weekends," she said and nooded.

"That's great then." Sam smiled. Ngumiti rin si Celindra sa kaniya.

Marami pa silang napag-usapan bago tumayo at umalis sa shop. Pupunta naman sila sa Mall para mag-ikot ikot habang naghihintay na magshowing ang ticket na binili na ni Sam.

Nasa kalagitnaan sila ng mall ng tumunog ang cellphone ni Celindra. Tinignan niya ang cell phone niya at nakita niyang si Linda ito. Kinuha niya agad ang earphone niya at sinaksak sa cellphone.

"I need to take this." Sam only nodded.

"Ceeeeeel!!!!" Agad namang hininaan ni Celindra and volume.

"Linda, ang boses mo pakihinaan."

"Paano naman kasi tumawag sa akin yung mga yun! Ang sabi kailangan daw mapasa yung book in two weeks! Hindi ka pa nga tapos eh! Mag-eedit pa ko!" Celindra frowned and sighed at Linda's tantrum.

"Tapos na ko. Actually, hindi ko nga alam kung bakit hindi mo alam. I already sent you the files, bago pa tayo pumuntang party." Celindra heard a gasp.

"Seriously? Eh ano yung ginagawa mo nun?"

"Iba na yun."

"You mean, bagong story?"

"Yeah," Celindra said while nodding.

"Where did you sent the files?" Linda asked.

"On your gmail account."

"Heck!" The line was cut off after Linda said that. Celindra only shrugged. Tinago na niya agad cell phone at earphone niya. Nung nakita ni San na tapos na si Celindra ay nagtanong naman ito.

"Any problem?" Hindi niya narinig ang bosses ni Linda at kung ano ang pinag-uusapan nila. But he saw her frowned and sighed for a couple of times.

"It's nothing. It's just Linda's throwing tantrums again. Don't worry about it." Sam nodded. Celindra saw the book store at Sam side.

"Can we go in there first?" Celindra pointed at the book store. Sam looks at it and nodded.

"Sure."

Celindra and Sam went around the bookstore for a couple of times. Celindra didn't see her book at all.

"There is nothing..." She muttered. Hindi kasi talaga niya tinitignan kung anong nangyayari sa books na binebenta these past few years.

Narinig naman siya ni Sam. "Hmm? What are you exactly looking?"

"Draco's books." Sam chuckled when he heard her answer.

"You should have told me earlier. Draco's books are always out of stock. The copies of book are limited to every book store. They will only have stock every first day of the month. But the books will immediately out of stocks. There are a lot of readers who is very eager to buy."

"Oh..." Celindra nodded.

"Every book series is only available for 3 years. After 3 years they won't make another copy. Anyway, it's fine for me as, every two years there is new series. And I can always buy the book whenever it's available. It's just that these past few months the production team is either late or early to produce the copy." Nagulat naman si Celindra sa narinig niya. Wala siya alam about dun.

"Why?" Sam shrugged.

"We don't know why. What we only know is, the problem lies with the production team not Draco's." Celindra nodded at him and kept that on mind.

They kept talking with each other and going around the mall. Finally, the time for the Cinema arrived.

Pagkatapos ng movie ay nagsilabasan na ang mga tao maliban sa dalawa na naghihintay na mawala na ang lahat. Naka-upo lang sila malapit sa dulo ng Cinema. Namumula ang mukha at tenga.

"I-i didn't know, it-." Sam stop talking and sighed. Kinalma niya muna ang sarili niya bago ulit siya nagsalita. "My friend gave me the ticket. He said the movie worth to watch, that I can learn a lot. I never thought that 'learning' is a different thing to him. I'm sorry." Sam looks sincere as he said those words to Celindra.

"Hmm. Let's go out." Celindra muttered and nodded.

They went out and the departed for a while to go in the comfort room. Parehas silang naghugas agad ng mukha.

Sam felt frustrated. He got his phone to call his friend and curse him for his idiotic plan.

Celindra slap her face a bit, to make herself awake.

The movie is actually her story! An R-18! She already watched it alone, to see if they are worthy of her story. It's good. Every action and emotion have been delivered well. Her stories are always full of love and making love. But to watch it with the man who she barely know. It's very awkward.

Celindra composed herself a bit before going out of the comfort room. Sumakto naman na kakalabas lang din ni Sam. Nagtama ang mga mata nila at sabay ring nag-iwas.

"Do you want to eat?" Sam muttered. Narinig naman iyon ni Celindra at siya ay tumango.
