Chapter 21; On Guard Against Each Other.

"Hmmn, I'll think about it father, but you should also think about what I said to you" Johnathan said to his father referring to the higher position that he requested.

Even if he heard his father's words and should patiently think things through first, he could also do it at a higher position right? It wasn't a wrong thing.

"Yes my son, I'll think about it" John said after giving his son a very good look of admiration.

"I'll no longer lock your room, I know now that you have learnt your lesson. And I am sorry for doing that" John's said surprising his son is with the apology.

"Did you really say I am sorry?" Johnathan asked.

But John was too ashamed to admit it, after all, it took a great deal for him to answer in the first place.

He quickly stood up from his seat and went back to his room to take care of other matters.

For two days, peace has reigned in the family and outside because Johnathan decided to be a good boy and heed the words of his dear old man.

He didn't make it hard for him brother at the company, and anytime he came, the two would act as if they had known each other now whenever they were in front of others.

But only Johnathan knew that he hated acting but still had no choice and didn't trouble any one with his problems.

As for James, he enjoyed the two days of trouble free in the working place even though he is sited on cutting off his honeymoon break and came to the work every day after the incident.

He didn't dare take any chance less his dear brother, Johnathan should do anything funny in his absence just like he had already done it before.

So even when he came to work, he had someone follow him and observe his whereabouts especially regarding the office.

And so far, only neutral results came to him. It was neither good nor bad.

It was neither good because he didn't do anything that would jeopardize anything that we have worked on to save, nothing about him was suspicious or fishy.

It was neither bad because, well that could mean that James was already planning something and this might just be the silence before the storm.

So all these days, James was still on guard against Johnathan sand Johnathan nathan had always been in guard against James.

But because they've been in Hurd against each other doesn't mean life wouldn't go on.

On the third day, James comes back to the penthouse that has been acquired for the sole purpose of spending honeymoon together with his newly acquired wife.

But when James came back, his wife was lying on the sofa in the living room watching television totally ignoring that James had been back.

That was the first time she saw him after two days. He would usually wake up and finish his business and leave the house very early in the morning and would still come back late at night.

At a ping in time, she thought that he had actually decided to quit staying with her and move somewhere else which meant that he didn't return back home.

But no, James is so exceptional that he had to leave traces back for her to know that not only did he come back home that night, he also didn't come back alone but brought a companion with him.

The first day, Bella didn't find out until when she was cleaning the house and stumbled upon a female bra that was too big to be hers.

There was no one else at home so Bella naturally knows that it must have been one of the conquest of James that would each the extend of removing her bra and even mistakenly leaving in behind.

The second day, Bella didn't stumble upon a bra, actually she stumbled upon a bra less woman who was comfortably walking around in their house early in the morning.

At first she was shocked before she came back to her sense and chased the woman out of the house.

She was no longer surprised with this act of his since he had already showed her his true color right from the day that they got arrived.

So today being the third day, Bella casually lay down on the bed not really expecting her husband to come back early.

She thought she'd finish watching her favorite series that's showing on her favorite Chanel before going to bed as usual.

So she was really surprised to hear the door nub twitch a little bit.

Bella was a but frightened thinking that it might be a thieve or some bad people who wanted to break into the house.

So she jerked up from her seat and took the nearest thing to her, which was a stool.

Bella stood by the side of the door and was ready to hit the damned intruder that seared enter her house without permission.

But just when she dropped the stool, she noticed that it was no intruder, but is was actually James who had coke in earlier than usual today.

Unfortunately for her, the stool had already dropped on his head before she retreated her finger so he was hurt a bit on the head.

"Ouch!" James jumped and held unto his head as he cried for help.

"Oh my god I am sorry, I am sorry!" Bella kept apologizing but her apologies couldn't get his head to stop hurting.

"Bella, are you insane? This was your plan all along right? You wanted to marry me and then kill me at a very young age in order to get my father's inheritance right?"

Bella was really confused, she just stood there not understanding what was happening and definitely not knowing what to do next because he was actually nit making it easier for her.

What should she do now?
