The Legendary Man

Long ago, there was a legendary man. He fought countless men to the death until he was labelled the strongest in the world. Years later, the man was on his deathbed, surrounded by disciples and he said to them, "One of you, continue my legacy and become the strongest". And so, bad times began. The disciples were loose lipped and spread the word and so, many began pursuing a life similar to the man in hopes of becoming the strongest. About 200 years later, our 'hero' is born. He too wishes to become the strongest just like the others. This story follows his journey to becoming the strongest.

The days went by and day by day, the citizens grew more enraged. Our numbers had increased by more than double and we now had had 2 main settlements and several other little ones since there wasn't enough space. There were also several more groups which weren't part of us but had the same goal. They would be easier to dispatch since obviously we had a far number advantage and more money. No government officials had been killed yet but Gastillo had already evacuated his home and the King most likely would flee soon so we had people to keep loose watch over his Palace. The fifth day came and I was called by one of the higher ranking members, Rumba. He was a fat man who was quite humorous usually and was one of the founding members, coming slightly before me. Along with that he was from a far minor kingdom so he wasn't involved much with physical matters. "Hey, how're you doing?" He asked reaching his hand.

"Good, what did you call me for" I said shaking his hand, smiling slightly.

"Already asking, I've called you here to inform you about the next steps of our revolution, take a seat for now" he said sitting promptly in his chair, "We're planning to have a second reader excecution instead of just waiting for the citizens to take charge". I stayed straight faced but I was ecstatic. It was exactly what I wanted.

"Am I gonna be doing the killing?"

"Yes, it'll happen somewhere within the next 2 weeks and we'll tell you 3 days prior" he said more serious than usual.

"Alright, also I have something to tell you" I said leaning slightly forward.

"What is it" he said leaning back in his chair.

"I have an offer for you, make me king and in turn you will be secure" I said calmly. He stared at me for a moment before asking,

"When'd you come up with that offer"

"About a week ago, I've been thinking. How will a nation function without a king. All the citizens will most likely just run off to another kingdom which instead of anarchy would mean that we just destroyed our kingdom for nothing in return. The world will not change through this kingdom alone" I said to him, maintaining eye contact.

"I mean, shit I've thought that before but wouldn't that mean betraying the others, and what will be the difference between our new kingdom and the old?" he asked, worried.

"I already have plans, I will be the king but power will not all be to me. I'll make a council who propose new laws and my job will simply be to approve or reject those but I of course will have some control over the soldiers and have the power to command the army to an extend" I paused for a moment before continuing saying, "Each member of the council will also be chosen depending on one of their attributes like for example if they're good at foreign affairs they will be chosen and so on. And should I be bribed maybe into accepting a law, I should he immediately exiled"

"That is a good plan but what's in it for me?" He asked

"I'll give you 15% of what I earn and should you ask for money I'll give you any amount as long as its reasonable, I'll write this down as a deal when I become king" I responded.

"Then sure, declare yourself after killing the King and I'll support you completely"

"Alright, I'll be going now" I said waving and leaving his small house. I knew he'd accept this, he'd been lowered from a noble of his little kingdom to this shitty house. The only reason he hadn't gone back is because he'd been kicked out. Now, with his support however I'd gain access to about 10% of our own revolutionaries and with the power of the army and my inside knowledge there'd be little chance of a second revolution.
