THE FIGHT

The monster was red and black in colour with two massive horns on its head and was breathing fire from it mouth, destroying already destroyed buildings.

Lava took a deep breath and dashed forward like a madman,the monster took no notice of his arrival because of his puny size but became aware when he was stabbed twice in his foot.

Once he got the monsters attention he began to stab,dodge repeat.

But soon he saw he was going nowhere with it after the monsters health bar only lowered a bit.

As he was looking at the head of the monster he saw a weird ball shining at the center of the monsters forehead.

‘That must be the Ball of Mystery the Elder was talking about.’Lava thought

He then took the greatest risk of all and jumped with all the power in his legs and landed on the stomach of the monster but the monster simply picked him and flung him away.

Lava flew in the air for about five seconds until he crashed into a hut and his health bar depleted more than half.

'Oh shit. I have to find another way to get that ball from his forehead.'

Lava then saw the mountains behind the monster and took the risk of climbing the mountain until he was directly above the monster and jumped from the mountain and let gravity do the rest.

He put his hands in front of him and aimed the dagger directly into the forehead of the monster.

The monster saw him coming but it was too late,Lava had already slammed into the monsters forehead removing the ball in the process.

Immediately the monster started shrinking until an old man in raged clothes was crying helplessly on exact spot the monster once stood.

Shouts of joy broke out from all directions of the village and people came out and crowded the young man who had saved their village for being wiped out.

After the celebration had died down a bit Lava called Chief Nato to a corner and said,

"Chief, I'm going to ask a few questions and I want you to answer as truthfully as possible."

"Anything for the village champion."

"I would like you to tell me what happened to Chief Gaf before he swallowed the Ball of Mystery."

"The Elder and Chief Gaf were not on good terms for some time now and Chief Gaf fell sick so the Elder went to his hut to administer some medicine on his brother."

Lava knitted his brows in confusion. So the Elder and Chief Gaf were brothers. Interesting.

"The Elder teleported out of his brothers hut and told the villagers to run away and they did just in time before the monster stomped on the villagers."

"Anything else?".

"I thought your fight with the monster was pretty intense. Even more fierce than the last war we had against the Flame beasts"

"Flame beasts?."

"We had a war against the Flame beasts 3 months ago. But the Elder and the Elder of the Flame beasts quickly settled the matter after discussing the matter privately to avoid more bloodshed "

‘Now that's something you don't hear everyday.’

"Congratulations you have unlocked a hidden task: Village Matters." the female robotic voice said
