Chapter one :

The beginning of the mystery

Lisa had just completed her studies at a higher institution. It was her first function in the gallery in Angeles, unknown to her that it was a prank made by her father and family members to celebrate her birthday.

When Lisa was 19 years old she traveled abroad to further her education. She has been gone for five years now and she has become a fully grown beautiful educated woman, with many intellectual skills and well-equipped with foreign languages.

It was raining heavily with a storm that night. Lisa had sold five artifacts already; she was about to sell the golden python head when her father stood up and bid the highest of them all. She was so surprised, she never knew her father was in the gallery because she had called them back home telling them that she would come home tomorrow.

The crowd continued to grow massively as a band and choir stole the show with a glamorous intro. The violinist emerged with a blissful tune before Lisa could gasp for breath to even say a word the whole room was singing happily for Lisa, it turned out to be the birthday song that her dad had not sung in person for five years now. Lisa ran as fast as she could and embraced her dad, she was partly crying but it was tears of overflowing joy. Her dad (nacho) called for a toast and said... everyone please give me this moment to congratulate this beautiful, profound, diligent, prosperous, good-looking woman.

For it is said that it's a thing of joy to see one's daughter this prosperous in everything she lays her hand on. Nacho said Lisa happy birthday my darling, he blessed her and gave her some words of wisdom.

Hours later, Lisa was talking to other guests and family members. Anna, Lisa's elder sister was spotted by their mom drinking and wasting herself with alcohol. Ulanda said to her, stupid fellow! Anna replies, Mom, am stupid? I'm just sick and tired of you all praising Lisa even when she has done no good so far. Look at Dad (they both gazed at Nacho smiling) he's just so on about Lisa's well-being.

Every time it's just Lisa this Lisa that Lisa all the time. Ulanda answered you ingrate after everything me and your father have passed through to take care of you is this how u will repay us by being envious of your sister right, you know what, you are right we only care about your sister because unlike you she tends to understand that she has to keep appearance in public, failure (hissed). George (Anna's fiance), takes care of her. I don't want to see her near the guest. Anna yelled at her mom saying you all would regret this!!

Nacho received a phone call and left the gallery, the party went on and a few hours later they all headed back home.

Lisa went upstairs to sleep and the others did likewise.

Ulanda came hours later after everyone was asleep looking horrifically alive. She had just seen a ghost...…. The maid saw her come in and greeted her but she was so shocked that she didn't even notice the presence of the maid.

That same night Andrew and his crew got information that a car was spotted on the street near the Los Angeles border so they went to check it out getting there Henry (Andrew's godfather)who is in charge of the operation in their crew looked into the vehicle and saw a dead man on the driver seat alongside Andrews girlfriend (Rose) who was also murdered immediately he told Andrews best friend Patrick to make sure Andrew does not see the people in the vehicle because it's going to break his heart.

Andrew was surprised that everyone's faces had gone pale after peeking into the vehicle so he decided to take a look at the vehicle. Surprisingly, his friend held him back so he freed himself and looked at the vehicle. Seeing his girlfriend lying dead in the vehicle shocked him; he screamed as loud as a child who had just seen a ghost. After some hours of weeping, he was accompanied by his best friend Patrick to his house.

The next morning Sandra(Lisa's younger sister) got a call from the police with tragic news, saying that her father had been murdered and a woman was also murdered alongside him in the vehicle they had been sighted. Lisa and her family members went to the hospital to see their dad. Anna was looking so pale and unorganized that she kept on saying to herself no this can't be, he can't just probably die like that nooooo!!. Ulanda went to talk to the police regarding the death of Nacho, her husband.

The police officer told her that her husband had been murdered by a gunshot to his head and that he also had an accident before his vehicle stopped due to the enormous porthole on the roadside. Ulanda told the policeman to make sure he found those involved in the incident and that she was available if he needed to ask any questions or thereabouts. Lisa was in the room where her father was kept for analysis and she was crying while talking to his corps saying Dad, it was my birthday yesterday remember you promised me that you would stay with me and provide anything I would need for my projects, you said that you can't wait to see me prosper and own my gallery so dad tell me why did you allow death take u away just like that.

Dad, I promise that I will avenge your death, and I will make those scumbags pay for putting you through all this suffering. I don't know why it's only the good people who end up dying while the evil ones prevail in their wickedness, we are going to make sure that this does not go unpunished. Lisa then went out of the room with great anger, like she was about to do something bad.
