The Last Tears

Emerald Castle... Jemmy sat lonely with his laptop hosting an online meeting with his staff. When he heard a slight movement, he looked at the bed attentively. "Send someone to protect Marina. She's my sister." Naysa said while still asleep. Jemmy didn't understand whether she was dreaming or meant what she said. When he tried to wake her up, she was still sleeping. But anyway, Wade was send off to Polar hotel. Evening, Naysa opened her eyes and stared into the black shiny eyes. Jemmy was too happy when she woke up. Though the doctor just said she was ok, Jemmy could still not believe his words. "How do you feel?" Jemmy asked. Naysa wanted to sit up but the strong hands held her back. "You'll hurt yourself." "Am fine I can sit ok?" She said but Jemmy didn't let her go. "Naysa there is one thing we have to talk about. The way you do take rush decisions is alarming and that's endangering your life. At least, wherever you go, take the guards with you. For the sake of your protection." Jemmy said. Naysa, with Jemmy's support sat up and looked at him. "I just don't know what came over me. Am sorry." She said, lowering her head like an obedient child to the parents. It was too cute that Jemmy stared at her admiringly. Even at her weakest point, she's still never lost her beauty. "I'll make you something to eat." He said as he stood up and headed to the kitchen. "Hey, some wonders here today!" Adrian started. "He's going to personally cook for her." Another guard said. "Wait, does he even know how to cook?" Stenson couldn't help laughing. In a matter of five minutes, the kitchen looked like a tornado zone. Broken pieces of glasses and plates were all over. Flour was all over the place plus in his face. His whole clothes were covered in flour and other kitchen ingredients. When he came out, Naysa who sat in the living room burst out laughing. Stenson couldn't help it as he took pictures. The other guards went out the couldn't suppress their laughter any longer. "Ooh my God! What were you doing?" Naysa held a mirror close to his face but Jemmy closed his eyes. "Do I look terrible?" He asked in a cute deep voice. "No... Not really. Who said my husband can look terrible? You look cute and funny. You've won a suit to the kitchen? I can't help it." Naysa laughed again. Looking at his suit, Jemmy couldn't help frowning. "What did you prepare for me?" She asked. "I made instant noodles." He said. "And how did you have your whole body covered in flour?" She asked. Jemmy kept quiet. "Can I go to the kitchen and have a look?" "No... Don't go there!" Jemmy stepped forward to stop her. "Can we go together then?" Naysa asked. "If you insist." He replied while leading the way. Naysa followed. The whole kitchen was a mess. The trash can was full of spoilt dumplings, pan cakes and many other goods he tried to prepare. He looked at Naysa innocently. "Ok you did a good job, but you're a pretty bad cook." She said. Jemmy stared at her as if digesting what she just said. "Ok, don't be mad at me for that kind of a comment. Can I be your teacher then?" "Sure." He replied. "But there is a fee to pay. Are you ready?" She asked. "How much is it teacher?" He asked eargerly that Naysa laughed. "It's not about money. It's something else." She said. "Whatever you want, I'll do it for you." Jemmy said. "Good, now take a guess before I tell you."

CHAPTER TWENTY TWO: WRONG ADDRESS

.

THE PRESIDENT'S HOME

After narrating everything that happened, president Finn's face darkened. Clare Winters sat by as she listened to the whole story. She then turned back to the president and nodded.

"The girl was right." She said. "How could you compensate to a person who died twelve years ago? Just today? That was an insult." She said.

The president snorted and looked hard at Kevin who turned backto walk out.

"Did you send the email?"

"Yes president." He replied and walked out. Just then, Jace stopped him outside and talked to him, then walked in.

"Dad... Why did you do that. The constitution allows freedom of participation into the country's political matters. Would you explain why you send that email?" Jace curved his mouth and frowned.

"Jace don't be dump. See a threat as a threat. This is the most sensitive position and am just trying to maintain it to keep the family name." President Finn said.

"What if I step down?" He asked.

"You dare." President Finn glared daggers at his son, then walked upstairs.

Clare Winters adjusted her sitting position and motioned Jace to sit. Jace whose whole face was frowned looked at his mother, then at the disappearing figure of his father.

"Mom, it's not like I really want to step down," Jace said, sitting opposite Clare." I just want everyone to have their freedom as per the constitution. Why would he had to threaten other people to not join politics? At least let's compete with others and see who wins fairly."

"Jace..." Clare never stopped admiring Jace, a son he never had but who welcomed her with a good heart and took her as his own mother. She desired his intelligence and his way of thoughts.

"Jace I really want you to know you're the best son I'll ever have. Your thoughts cover the interest of others first, and if you win this, then definitely you'll become the best president K nation could ever have. If had a chance to give birth to a son now, I'll want him to emulate you every single step." Clare said.

"Mom talking of children, do you have any? I would really want to meet the lucky seed that came from you." Jace smiled, showing his pure white teeth.

"Never mind. Anyway, president Finn just wants you to be the next president in line ok? Probably he's mad because he wants the best for him son." Clare Said.

"Either way, k don't care mom. What I know is, if I win the hearts of the K nation citizens, then I'll win the elections." Jace said.

"Do you know the family that's above all power?" Clare asked.

"Definitely the Grants. Please... just talk to dad for me. I don't like this dictatorship." Jace said.

EMERALD CASTLE

From Spark Hotel, Jemmy didn't go to work as expected, instead, he went into the spare room and locked himself inside. He made his own preparation for heaven knows why as he went through through the pictures Stenson had handed him. They were cute. He loved the look on Naysa's face the moment when the flowers dropped. The same flowers were now in the room he was locked in. Suddenly his phone beeped. He opened it and it was an email from president Finn. Jemmy finally stepped out of the secret room and locked the door behind him, walking along with all the duplicate keys of the room. Stenson finally sighed when Jemmy walked out.

"Boss, president Finn send an email..." Stenson didn't finish as Jemmy was too happy to be disturbed with the information.

"Wrong address." He said casually.

"But boss, he specifically said the Grant's should step out of the country's political matters. How could it be a wrong address?" Stenson asked.

"That concerns Hank, not me." He walked into his bedroom. The next moment he came out in a black suit and his serious face was back. Stenson looked at him and thought, boss this is not funny. You were just a little bit tolerable right now... This why you're back to your serious face isn't nice at all. He walked over and opened the car. The rest of the guards got into the cars and they drove to Red State Company. Jemmy kept checking on his watch as if he had an appointment. Stenson was confused. Why is he acting this weird? Could it be that that girl... Stenson curved his mouth as he thought.
