The Last Tears

Emerald Castle... Jemmy sat lonely with his laptop hosting an online meeting with his staff. When he heard a slight movement, he looked at the bed attentively. "Send someone to protect Marina. She's my sister." Naysa said while still asleep. Jemmy didn't understand whether she was dreaming or meant what she said. When he tried to wake her up, she was still sleeping. But anyway, Wade was send off to Polar hotel. Evening, Naysa opened her eyes and stared into the black shiny eyes. Jemmy was too happy when she woke up. Though the doctor just said she was ok, Jemmy could still not believe his words. "How do you feel?" Jemmy asked. Naysa wanted to sit up but the strong hands held her back. "You'll hurt yourself." "Am fine I can sit ok?" She said but Jemmy didn't let her go. "Naysa there is one thing we have to talk about. The way you do take rush decisions is alarming and that's endangering your life. At least, wherever you go, take the guards with you. For the sake of your protection." Jemmy said. Naysa, with Jemmy's support sat up and looked at him. "I just don't know what came over me. Am sorry." She said, lowering her head like an obedient child to the parents. It was too cute that Jemmy stared at her admiringly. Even at her weakest point, she's still never lost her beauty. "I'll make you something to eat." He said as he stood up and headed to the kitchen. "Hey, some wonders here today!" Adrian started. "He's going to personally cook for her." Another guard said. "Wait, does he even know how to cook?" Stenson couldn't help laughing. In a matter of five minutes, the kitchen looked like a tornado zone. Broken pieces of glasses and plates were all over. Flour was all over the place plus in his face. His whole clothes were covered in flour and other kitchen ingredients. When he came out, Naysa who sat in the living room burst out laughing. Stenson couldn't help it as he took pictures. The other guards went out the couldn't suppress their laughter any longer. "Ooh my God! What were you doing?" Naysa held a mirror close to his face but Jemmy closed his eyes. "Do I look terrible?" He asked in a cute deep voice. "No... Not really. Who said my husband can look terrible? You look cute and funny. You've won a suit to the kitchen? I can't help it." Naysa laughed again. Looking at his suit, Jemmy couldn't help frowning. "What did you prepare for me?" She asked. "I made instant noodles." He said. "And how did you have your whole body covered in flour?" She asked. Jemmy kept quiet. "Can I go to the kitchen and have a look?" "No... Don't go there!" Jemmy stepped forward to stop her. "Can we go together then?" Naysa asked. "If you insist." He replied while leading the way. Naysa followed. The whole kitchen was a mess. The trash can was full of spoilt dumplings, pan cakes and many other goods he tried to prepare. He looked at Naysa innocently. "Ok you did a good job, but you're a pretty bad cook." She said. Jemmy stared at her as if digesting what she just said. "Ok, don't be mad at me for that kind of a comment. Can I be your teacher then?" "Sure." He replied. "But there is a fee to pay. Are you ready?" She asked. "How much is it teacher?" He asked eargerly that Naysa laughed. "It's not about money. It's something else." She said. "Whatever you want, I'll do it for you." Jemmy said. "Good, now take a guess before I tell you."

CHAPTER FIFTY EIGHT: CASKEYS FAMILY MEETING

"That's a new thing anyway. Thank heavens you got the job."

Naysa saw Marina off, after which she embarked on preparations.

CASKEYS HOME

While everyone at the Emerald Castle was preparing, things were different at the Caskeys home. No one went to work today, though, Roderick, who had taken Livia on a dinner out yesterday wasn't back yet. Diana looked at the frowned face of her grandfather and shuddered.

"Get that idiot here now!" Old man Andrew roared.

Few guards entered James' bedroom and dragged him out.

"What's wrong with you people? Am hurt for heaven's sake!" James complained.

"Will you just shut up!" Old man Andrew shouted. Looking at his grandfather's face, James didn't add a word. He sat down, inclining on one side since his butt was still sore.

"Call Roderick here now!"

Diana fumbled with her phone:

Meanwhile... At Polar hotel

Marina entered the hotel dressed in a simple black skirt and a white top. She looked radiant and beautiful. All the workers turned to look at her, admiring her simple yet cute self. They were told a new assistant manager would be in today so of no doubt, she fitted into position no one doubted her.

She was almost stepping into the elevator when she saw a familiar face. Looking back, their eyes met, Livia and Roderick.

"Hi Marina..." Livia smiled.

"Hi too Livia. What a coincidence we meet here? Hello Roderick." Marina said.

"Hello."

"Don't tell me you're here to work Marina. You can't lower yourself that much. The Johnson have a company." Livia said in a mocking voice. Marina smiled.

"I know... But what if am actually here to work? The Johnson have a company, but that doesn't mean I have to specifically be working there." Marina said.

"Mmh? When I got home after school, I started working at my father's company. Roderick is at the Caskeys company. Anyway, we're doing well in our relationship and plan to get married, isn't it Roderick?" Livia bragged. Roderick nodded.

"Congratulations to you people." Marina said.

"What about you? Are you still single or you got someone? Is Naysa well off with Ridden or she chose the rich CEO?" Livia asked.

"I think that's too personally to talk about right now. As for Naysa, you can simply give her a call and ask her the question directly. We were roommates I doubt she can hide anything from you." Marina said. Not wanting anymore silly questions, she stepped into the elevator. It was then that Roderick recieved a call from Diana that she had to go home as quickly as possible. After dropping Livia off, he drove home.

"What will you do to regain back the Caskey's dignity?" Old man Andrew asked.

"Grand pa, everyone knows I didn't plan for all this. Everything happened so fast." James started. That was when when Roderick entered and almost laughed at James' sitting position. One side was slightly raised while the other side was slightly pressed on the cushion. His face was still swollen and red.

"James, I heard what happened to you." Roderick said.

"It isn't time for such talks young man," old man Andrew stopped Roderick. "I think it's time the Caskey's disown you for what you have done James.

James smiled bitterly. "I'll have to talk to you in private before I leave. For now, I don't care about the fucking image of the family. Think of my own dignity, my health. What do you all care about? Family wealth, power and dignity. No one cares about what another feels. I was humilated, not once but severally. The Caskeys are among the third class families in K nation, what did you do after the first episode? Everyone sat aside and watched. I don't care about the family fucking image!"

Slap!

The hard hand of old man Andrew landed on James' face. "You still have the guts to talk to my face? You have to carry your cross, sinful human being. You started this whole drama!"

"Are you upright?" James retorted back, waking up and walking back to his bedroom. Old man Andrew couldn't believe James',who was his obedient dog would finally have the guts to talk in his face.

"Grand pa calm down." Diana tried to talk to old man Andrew. "James is butter now after what happened, maybe if he calms down, you two will talk."

"Talk?' old man Andrew laughed sarcastically.
