Deadly Encounters

Suri drawing closer to the locations noticed the orange glow of a fire coming from a cave, this was also followed by the aura she was seeing gushing from the entrance.

'So it's here' thought Suri as she slowly lowered to the ground.

Carefully making her way towards the cave entrance she saw the youth from before gently tending to his blades, particularly his sword which the moment she locked eyes on the blade realized it was the origin of the deathly aura.

'Such a wicked weapon can exist' thought Suri as she cleared her throat and decided to make her presence known.

--------

Stopping his tending of the blade the youth looked towards Suri obviously unsurprised by her presence.

"State you business or leave me in peace." stated the youth as he kept his eyes trained on Suri.

"That weapon of yours is cursed, I came here because it's deathly aura is far heavier than my own. It was probably forged by a demonic smith centuries ago" started Suri causing the youth to look at her like an idiot as he scoffed.

"Aura? Cursed? Centuries? Woman take your nonsense elsewhere or I will show you deathly." stated the youth as he went back to tending to his sword ignoring the perceived crazy woman.

Suri hearing this couldn't help but feeling anger at being waved off again as mana began to build around her only for her to stop the moment she began as she was now staring directly into those cruel eyes with a blade at her neck.

"I don't know what you were trying to do but my senses don't lie. I will give you one more chance to leave, refusal means your life is forfeit." came the cold tone as the blade pressed against her neck lightly but still drawing blood.

Suri was wide eyed, she hadn't even seen the youth move but her shock was nothing compared to the confusion the the youth was feeling.

'Faster? I almost took her head off by accident, at least I managed to stop in time' thought the youth giving nothing away as his face was covered.

Suri felt the blade recede from her neck and the youth returned to his position tending his blade as if the encounter just now had never happened. Suri however was staring at this person with more fear than when she had come.

With nothing left to say she exited the cave before quickly lifting into the sky and racing towards her territory.

However along the way she managed to spot the other faction leaders traveling together, as she went to draw near she heard them laughing.

--------------

"Tell you what corpse breath gets a little more pathetic every time." came the words of the Goblin Queen.

"Watch it, she may be incompetent but still stronger than your ilk." came the Dragon matriarchs voice.

"What does strength matter if she is too weak to look after her own." came the dwarven kings comment.

Suri looked down from the sky as her anger began to soar, with this her mana began to overflow alerting the group to her presence. The weight of her magical prowess was enough to make them sweat.

"I met with the source of the aura, however you can do your own investigating." stated Suri as she cast a cold look towards them and flew away with her cloak billowing in the wind.

"Suri Wait." called the Dragon matriarch preparing to fly after the Corpse queen but found her wings bound by mana.

It seemed they had underestimated their former colleague.

---------------- Next day----------

The youth woke early as his body was accustomed however he couldn't help but notice the odd amount of activity going on outside.

Stepping outside he saw odd lizard people flying through the skies, keeping to the shadows he watched them carefully as they all seemed to be searching for something. However as he was staring at the skies his senses suddenly alerted him to something behind him as he quickly spun and decapitated a goblin.

"What the hell is this." spoke the youth softly as he looked at the odd creature before him however it seemed the goblin blood in the air alerted those in the skies.

"We found it" came the roar as a black scaled creature darted towards the youth's location.

However this would be for naught as the youth flung a kunai impaling the creatures throat and causing it to fall to its death.

However this little spat caused a wide commotion as the creatures began to swarm the youth.

Acting quickly however he returned to the cave, at the very least he could narrow his number of opponents.

----------------

Soon enough the youth had his cave surrounded at the entrance it was a mix of the three factions that had ignored Suri previously amounting to Dwarves, Goblins, and Dragons given the Dragons were in their warrior form.

"Give up, there is no escape for you." came the Dragon Matriarchs voice as a small orb was thrown from the cave.

---------------

"Slaughtering Mist Technique" came what was almost a demonic growl as the orb exploded into a thick cloud of smoke catching the faction soldiers off guard as the sounds of thuds could be heard almost as if someone's heart was beginning to beat faster. The thuds began to speed up until suddenly there were screams as warm liquid began to tint the smoke into a horrid crimson.

However the smoke eventually began to dissipate causing the three leaders to look horrified at the aftermath, heads and limbs decorated the ground like confetti and the grass was no stained crimson.

"You have one opportunity to leave." came the youth's voice causing the three leaders to turn towards the cave.

"T=Thank you." bowed the Goblin Queen as she quickly went in the direction of her people's territory.

"Sir, may we collect the dead." came the Dwarf Kings response which promptly came with a blade planting in his chest. The youth stared into the eyes of the Dwarf King.

"If you wish to be with the dead then join them." whispered the youth as he pulled his sword from the offending things chest.

This however allowed the Matriarch to finally gaze upon the youth's figure.

"Leave now, I will not tell you again." stated the youth as he flicked the blood from his sword and watched as the matriarch soared into the sky.

------------------

The youth looked at the corpses all around and slowly began to work, stripping the fallen of any metals or valuables he ended up dragging his boat like a sled through the forest with pieces piled high, he then dumped them into the ocean. He repeated this three times due to the amount of goblins and the largeness of the Dragon's warrior forms. However the youth kept looking at the Dragon flesh with a hint of curiosity, he had eaten lizards before and found it to be delicious but would eating this dragon warrior be cannibalism?

In the end he did keep one corpse to cook.

'Cannibalism is a last resort but I don't think this counts.' thought the youth as he slowly rotated a large chunk of tail meat over the fire.

However after some time he found that the meat hadn't begun to cook at all.

Grabbing a tube he kept for darts he began blowing into the fire while also adding wood to increase the temperature, after a bit of this the meat finally began to sizzle and cook but this was at the price of destroying his blowgun which had began to warp and melt due to the intensity of the heat.

---------------- Suri's domain---------

Suri was staring at her counterparts who were panic stricken with contempt.

"What are we going to do, he slaughtered everyone we took even Balrog died. All he did was ask to take the dead." panicked the Matriarch showing weakness which was against her races character.

"Why are you here Dragon." stated Suri calmly as she looked at the duo without a shred of sympathy.

"We need to figure out a plan to deal with the threat, aren't you going to help?" asked the Matriarch almost hysterically.

"Oh? You mean like I suggested previously? Quite humorous how the tables have turned" chuckled Suri without any mirth in her eyes.

"Suri this isn't the time for petty disputes." started the Goblin Queen.

"No its time for you to understand that the way this alliance works, I requested your assistance multiple times in the past. However you have all refused and my people suffered for it, today your people have suffered and it's due to your own petty thoughts. The Immortal Tomb will be handling the situation in our own way." stated Suri causing the two leaders to stifle at the comments.

"You can't expect us to be responsible for when you overlook something, your food shortage two years ago being a prime example." started the Matriarch.

"A food shortage caused by your younglings, your daughter in particular throwing a tantrum and burning our fields." stated Suri causing the Matriarch to gawk.

"Oh but don't look so surprised, after all wasn't it your goblins that came and stole our livestock that same year?" continued Suri turning her gaze towards the Goblin Queen.

"Then lets speak of the contamination of our river, a cause of your people using our river as a means of transporting your waste. Oh yes, these are all petty reasons to deny you aid." finished Suri causing the two leaders to stare in shock.

"Suri, we will make amends in the future but for now we need to band together to stop that thing." stated the Matriarch seeming to have sobered after having her misdeeds called out.

The corpse queen looked at the two before shaking her head.

"Frankie, bring me the records." ordered Suri causing the Petite Frankengirl to come running out with a thick book.

-------------

"What's with the book." asked the Goblin queen as she wondered why the Undead would request it at this time.

"This is a record of all the wrongs and troubles you have caused me and my territory since the beginning of our alliance." It was at this point Frankie brought another large book out.

"Frankie don't worry about bringing the others, just these most recent ones will do." ordered Suri causing the Goblin Queen and Matriarch to stare at the two impossibly thick books.

"Let's see here, oh using my skeletons as target practice resulting in their demise. That was you Ari, along with your goblin horde. Destruction of our silos and shopping district, that was you Flare while you were teaching your younglings how to use their given abilities. Let's see, our treasury being robbed, tunnels ended up leading to none other than your den Ari. As you can see ladies the list goes on and on but I never stopped seeing you as friends even when you have aggrieved me so, but I will not be liable for your arrogance any longer." listed Suri as she slammed the book shut.

"So is that your final answer?" asked the Goblin Queen as she grit her teeth.

"It is, in fact I intend to go and speak with this threat again later this evening." stated Suri causing the two leaders to look shocked.
