Which academy to go?

"Hmm?" Leandrei shifted his attention to Vicount Watkins with a slightly confused face. 'Now that I think about it, that person told me about the academies. The academy will definitely help me grow to a great extent so this will be quite important'.

When Leandrei said 'that person' he was obviously referring to none other than weird yet somehow great and mysterious being.

"There are three great academies in the Vermalan Empire and these are the Sneider Academy, Maximus Academy and Cresilia Academy. With your talent you will be one of the high ranked talents in any of the academies so your future is set in stone but that's only if you don't slack off". Viscount Watkins was filled with anticipation for what academy Leandrei would pick. None other than the blonde mage and Leandrei took note of this, the others completely ignored it.

Leandrei goes deep in thought to what academy he should go to after the choice he would make will shape his future. This made him feel burdened as he felt like shoulders carried monumental weight during his silence.

He looks at Viscount Watkins the person who brought up the question and asked "Any suggestions?"

After hearing the question the viscount began to explain what each academy was like.

"Maximus Academy is on the eastern side of the empire and is the closest to the borders between the other nations. Although it isn't very close to the borders it would still be the first to be affected if an all-out continental war emerges which is possible in the future. Cresilia Academy on the other hand is on the western side of the empire , it's definitely the safer than Maximus Academy but not the best place for you. The nobles in the west care a lot about lineage and I doubt they would leave you alone. Lastly, there is the Sneider Academy which is at the centre of the empire situated in the imperial capital Vermillion. The capital is the jack-of-all-trades, it has almost everything and is probably the safest of the three".

After the viscount provided his analysis of the academies while considering future problems Leandrei fell deep in thought once again.

'Sneider Academy sounds like the best option, but why is the viscount considering a continental war to emerge? The skirmishes on the borders have occurred in the past as well but it didn't lead to war, it's almost as if he's certain about'.

"I'd like to go to Sneider Academy" Leandrei announced his decision and Viscount Watkins gave him a nod.

"Alright then, the academies should all be starting in a month so you should prepare to leave in a few days as it will take about two weeks to reach the capital".

With that everyone stood up and Leandrei stayed at the viscount's manor for few more days. During those days he was treated very kindly, with his talents he was destined for a great and successful future and the viscount won't mind building good relations with someone like him. It was a future investment, a promising investment.

A few days later.

Outside the manor Leandrei was there in black shirt with black trousers and infront of him was a horse carriage with the insignia of Watkins family, a black crow. There were knights with horses as well there to accompany him safely on his journey.

Priest Naruo walks up behind him and says "Goodluck and make sure to not slack off".

"I won't".

Leandrei walks into the horse carriage and heads towards the capital in order to enroll in Sneider Academy. The place where he would encounter numerous misfortunes and discover the real him.

Inside the manor.

Both the butler and Viscount Watkins were looking through the window, staring at Leandrei's fleeting silhouette with expectant gazes.

"I hope he doesn't let 'him' down".

"Don't worry master, I believe he will be an entertaining one".

The master's and servant's eyes were lit up with obvious fanaticism.

Somewhere else.

Inside a room, a figure draped in a black robe sat down by the window and looked outside. There was endless red, black and white in sight along with countless stars which shined in the chaotic waves of colours.

The figure took his good down and it's black hair fell down from its shoulders to half-way down its back. The person smiled delightedly.

"It's finally begun, I'll see you soon again boy and will look forward to the entertainment you bring. Don't disappoint me."

That was the day chaos officially emerged from its slumber. It marked the beginning of a great show.
