Walking is difficult

I woke up from my weird slumber, or trance if you think it was something like that. I noticed something, either the koi bones had grown in size or I had become smaller.

I was guessing the first, I tried to activate stone armour and I was surprised at it's utility. Just had to imagine the kind of Body I wanted and the stone armour would form around me with me at it's core.

I would later learn that this was because I'd used five times the needed IP causing it to become more intricate than what was used as the base.

I imagined a human body and the armour took shape around me, I was more like one of those little golems you sometimes see drawn. My main body was used as the torso of this form and I could see through the eyes on my head and the ones on my torso.

I tried to walk around but I immediately fell down, I kept stumbling, falling and looking like an idiot so I changed the armour to resemble the tiny bear I saw, for some reason this was easier and Now my main body was part of the torso.

Moving around was still difficult but not as much, it was weird, I mean, I used to be a human so it should be instinctual to walk around in a humanoid body but I found an animal body easier.

Also, I hadn't had any difficulties with the armour I created earlier, so what was different.

That's when I realized, I've evolved, my body has drastically changed meaning that I have to get used to it, my previous body was probably a lot lighter and bigger making it easier for me to control it or something like that.

I'm not a scientist so I wouldn't know, in the end, it just comes down to, it was probably the evolution.

This tiny bear body was really nice actually, I got the hang of it pretty quickly and I know had a few weapons in the form of claws and teeth.

I noticed that I still needed five levels to evolve, that's weird, I thought they'd scale.

'It's because you technically haven't actually evolved, you've offered up your 5 levels to make your foundation for your evolution better. It's like you've made a new character in a video game but you've distributed your stats better or just have more stats to begin with.'

Oh, that actually makes sense.

I moved towards the pond, I saw five more Kois and because Aurelion hated me anyway, I killed them all.

Pulling them towards me with rocks I recieved a notification.

{You have gained 125 exp}

{You have gained 2 levels, you are now level 3}

I ate them and I noticed that I hated the taste of the ichor less.

{You have assimilated 5 Holy Kois

{Spell comprehension

Suddenly I was bombarded with knowledge, first a few earth and Light spells, then every spell of the death affinity.

This included all the lower affinities, being Shadow, Darkness and Black magic.

Light affinity had also given me access to Shimmer magic wich was surprisingly usefull.

I now was filled with knowledge of spells, I wanted to test them.

Shimmer magic allowed me to bend the light a little, giving me the ability to create weak illusions, it also gave me a weak attack spell.

Light magic gave me primarily attacks spells and a few stronger illusions, I also hadn't unlocked most of the knowledge the skill contained since it wasn't at it's max level.

The ones contained in the Death Affinity skill were much more, well deadly. They also gave me access to spells that put people into their deepest nightmares, it seemed that these would be my strongest power.

Black magic seemed to be focused on negative status ailments so I guessed that Light Affinity would evolve into something that would allow me to give positive status ailments and possibly even heal.

Lastly, there was the magic from the earth affinity and it was what you'd expect, although these seemed to be extremely easy to control, probably because I was a creature of the earth.

I looked over my status window and saw that refinement had evolved with me, becoming Advanced Refinement.

Well, because I could do so, I auto activated the skill and fell asleep, knowing that I would probably awaken a few weeks later.

When I woke up Advanced Refinement had once again reached max level with the same, requirements for evolution not met.

I was surprised when Dee told me It'd only been out for about 2 weeks, meaning that the refinement became faster, probably the technique used became faster and more advanced.

To my surprise, Light Affinity had gained 3 levels and I had new knowledge of spells, obtaining the spell, lesser heal.

I looked around and decided to really start exploring the forest now, I might be a little rock but I was confident that if necessary I could escape underground.

I tried to find other animals to find but I couldn't for some reason, I looked at the sky and saw that it was night, the light I had assumed was daylight came from the trees.

Ok, Dee, can you explain to me what this place is, I might as well listen to you while I wait for the sun to come up so that I can hunt.

'This place is Aurelion's Holy forest, a place for creatures blessed by him. He has created a delicate ecosystem and you shouldn't even belong here, you're disturbing it and that's why he's cursed you.'

I listened to Dee name a lot of the creatures that loved here, apperently the tiny bear was called a Blessed Bearcat, I decided it would be my next prey, The sun was coming up and I got ready for my hunt.
