| Chapter Eighteen

My mother was pale upon her arrival, it was like forcing herself to travel all the way here to pick me up and visit everyone. Later at night I went and sneaked into her room. I made sure that she won't wake up when I take her pulse and check her condition. This kingdom is 2nd best abundant with medical resources so it won't be hard for me to look for extraordinary herbs that I will need to concoct a medicine soup for her.

I held her hand and focused on her pulse. Minutes later, I found out that her body is controlled with Gu Poison and Iced Breaking Muscle Poison. Two of these poisons are impossible to be detected by a mere imperial physician, unless someone has advanced medical skills of a godly doctor. The symptoms are clear when I raised her sleeves a little and poison marks appeared on her pale skin.

I closed my eyes and ventured the medical pavilion and resting pagoda that was inside my ring. The herbs were abundant yet I lacked a dragon fruit. It could be said that to be able to fully cure my mother I'll be needing rare herbs. I pick a potion and went out of my space. I slowly held the bottle and positioned my mom's body a little upwards.

Then I slowly poured the contents to her mouth and let her drink it. This tonic will temporarily stop her poison from damaging more vital areas. And this would furthermore protect her unharmed organs.

I slowly left her chambers.

I've decided to create a medicine that will take half of the poison in her body and the other half will be out through the use of Acupuncture Treatment and Needle Art of the East. I will cook for mother and let the dosage spread through her food. Because if I'm not mistaken, someone must be drugging her food.

The Gu Worms are about to mature in her body. That means she will be easily controlled by the poison master who did it. It could also be the Emperor since he wants to control her power.
