Chapter 1: A BRAND-NEW JOURNEY.

It was the year 2069, Thursday July Eighteenth at nine forty in the morning, and it was the day of the Royal Knights Memorial Day. The King and Queen would allow their children to run around in the safe streets of Asalikith Town. Where they could socialize with their friends and meet other children. Darcie was at the age of 12, and she had two other female friends she would always hang around with. One of Darice's friends was named Sharaletta, and her other friend was named Mikado. The three would always stay away from public areas that had other children and would mostly hang around alleys and areas that are mostly less occupied with marketplaces. However, there was always one place the three girls would always go to, and that was a long alley near a dumpster. There they would sit on old cardboard boxes and chat about their funniest school moments or just about their daily lives and talk about girl-related topics. Around the tenth hour, Darcies' young brother, who was at the age of 10, found them and came by to check up on them to see if they were attending the Knight's Parade before the memorial service started. Taski asked the three girls," Hey Girls! Is anyone going to the parade today? I'll certainly be there!" Darcie then replied to him, "Oh... I forgot about the parade today, what time does it start again?" "It starts at Eleven O'clock." He replies in excitement.

Sharaletta then asks him, "Let me guess Taski, you must have an interest in the Knights, don't you?" He says to her in response, "Of Course. Who wouldn't be?" Mikado says to him in a romantic voice, "Hey, you could enlist into the Knights when you become older and be my hero, sweetheart." Sharaletta then says to Mikado, "You and him would make a cute couple, I think. Why not join him." Mikado, too deep into hid eyes, ignores Sharaletta while thinking to herself, "(One day, you and I will be married and live happily ever after.)" Then after a few minutes passed, Taski's two friends pass by and invite him to a card game. Taski had two friends named Chris Deratea and the other was named Dakaski Reyvald. They were into card games and have always wanted strong challengers to face, but they would use Taski as more of a training partner rather than help him improve. Taski and his friends then left the girls to go and have a card battle near a shallow alley, where they are mostly seen by pedestrians and shop employees. Those alleys are used for employees to put their shipping boxes to the side, and the kids who hung around there would always use the shipment boxes as seats. Now, Taski wasn't the greatest at the card game they were playing and would always lose. In a loud cry he shouted, "How... How can I lose? I have the strongest units... how is it that I keep losing like this?!"

Chris then said to Taski, "Dude, you don't understand the concept of how this card game works? You can't just use the strongest units without any kind of strategizing or defense, you just don't understand the rules. It's no fun to win against you all the time, there's no challenge." Dakaski then implied to Taski, "You're too dependent on strengths rather than having defense, healers. That's why you always lose." Taski then replies to Dakaski's comment, "Well, then I'll just have to get better units!" Dakaski frowns, Chris then comes up with the idea of pulling a prank on the girls just for fun. Chris then says to both of them, "Hey boys, why don't we go have a little fun and pull a water bucket prank on the girls? Come on guys, it'll be so fun seeing those girls all drenched in water and mad at us. What do you say boys?" Dakaski agreed with this idea, while Taski disagreed with this plan and decided to stay out of it instead. Chris decided to secretly use Taski as a distraction instead, and thus his plan was set in motion. Now, Taski ran back over to where Darcie and her friends were. When he came back over to talk to the girls, he took a seat right next to Mikado, as it was the only clean seat to sit in. She felt delighted and romantically nudged her head towards his shoulder, he didn't find too much of an issue with this, for he knew that she loved him. While the four were talking, Chris and Dakaski were on top of the building right above Taski and the girls, setting everything in motion.

Chris then checked to see if they were completely distracted, and then he lifted the heavy bucket of water and then dumped it entirely. The water dropped fast, almost like lightning, but then suddenly Sharaletta already knew that something was falling, for she heard Chris' voice from above. She then created a big pink shield above herself and the others, stopping the water from falling on them. What was expected to be a funny prank, only to then turn to irritation that the prank failed. A few minutes after, the two came back down. Chris sat near Sharaletta, he did have a small liking for her and though he knew that she didn't have that kind of liking for him, however, he still tried to be cool around her with words and actions. Chris had mentioned to everyone around him, "You know, honestly I think that the whole Knights thing is overrated, honestly, I don't see it being as serious as they put it." This then struck Taski in the mind as he thought to himself, "(How could he say something like that! What a jerk!)" Dakaski, looking over towards Taski, noticed that his friends' words offended him, so he said, "Yo Taski. I think your old pal is getting a little hungry over there. Why don't you make yourself useful and go fetch a bread roll for him." Taski then sighed and thought to himself, "(Really dude, give me a break. Fine, I'll go get one.)" Chris thought this could be a good opportunity to strike his chance with Sharaletta, and he then replied to Dakaski, "Yeah I am starting to feel a little hungry, so do something good for once would you."?

This statement from Chris upset Sharaleatta and the girls there, she then stated, "Really! Are you serious right now? Why don't you go and grab food for yourself, I am not impressed with you at all." Chris then started to panic and didn't know how to reply to her, he and stated, "What? The kid needs to get up and move instead of just sitting around all day long. It doesn't do any good to be lazy, you know." With Chris saying this, all three girls got up with disappointment. Sharaletta then said," Come on girls let's go, and Chris, I am not impressed with your attitude. Don't bother talking to me or any of us." The girls then walked away from the alley and left the two. " Wait. Don't leave, it was just a joke." Chris shouted to the girls. This put him in an unpleasant mood, leaving him angry, a few seconds after, Taski came back from the small-town market with the bread roll snack, he came back with kindness, "Here you go, I got the biggest bread roll I could find." He returned with the bread happily. Chris, in his anger, grabbed Taski by the shirt and slammed him on the wall near him. He aggressively said to him," You better give me one reason why I shouldn't beat the crap out of you right here, you little idiot." Taski was then drowned in anxiety, and was confused as to what wrong he'd done.

Taski asked in fear, "Chris, what's going on man? I don't understand, what I did wrong?" Chris balled his fist up as hard as he could and charged his arm back and thrust forward, colliding with Taski's face shouting," Get Out Of My Face You Stupid Worthless Nerd!" After he shouted this, he then proceeded to beat Taski until he couldn't stand up anymore. He fell bleeding from his mouth due to the impacts of the damage he received, he laid there on the ground while Chris and Dakaski began kicking him until he didn't move. The two then decided to leave the area as if nothing had happened. Taski laid there bleeding and injured as he then blacked out. An hour passed as he remained knocked out as the Royal Knight Parade began and went through the streets. Taski then woke up in the alley, regaining his consciousness then suddenly remembered that the Parade had started, and he said, "Oh No! The Ceremony! I hope I didn't miss it." He then dashed as fast as he could out of the deep alley out into the streets and saw that the streets were filled with confetti and candy from the floats. He proceeded to run down the streets at high speed but out of nowhere, a stranger appeared in front of him. This caught Taski off guard, and he bumped into the stranger. The stranger then noticed him below and knelt down closer, "Hey there little one. You seem like you may have missed something important." Taski then said as he began tearing up, "I guess I missed the Ceremony, didn't I? I guess I'll have to wait for next year to see the Knights." The stranger then looked at him with a smile and happily stated," Hey now little one, there's no reason to weep. You're looking at one of the Knights right now. What is your name kid?" Taski then sucked up his tears and stood in shock and said to him," My name is Taski Mandelen." The Knight then introduced himself to the young prince," Taski Mandelen, eh? My name is Hayamoto Genki, and I am one of the Royal Knights. You, too, can become a Knight of Asalikith. Here, take this registration paper and keep it for when the time is right, and the good news for you is that the paper will never expire. I want to see you become a strong, independent, and brave Knight one day. Will you do that for me?" Taski then took the paper, and he then gave Hayamoto a big smile and said to him," I will become a Knight of Asalikith. I will be strong, and I will protect the people as well as the land."
