chapter 9: inside the stomach

After I landed in something's squishy. My machine can still see in the darkness.

Inside, there are tons of different things like parts of a building and some corpses of different monsters.

Moreover, several monsters who was still alive was wondering inside the worm's stomach as they scavenge some food.

"Tsk, that bitch really got me."

As I put my chainsaw sword in my waist. I explored this large stomach, although I found another batch of monsters to fight. They are nothing compared to my hatred enemies.

As I take a walk, I saw a camp site near the ruined mansion. Judging from the condition of the camp. It was left for a couple of days and there is no sign that being touch by it.

Moreover, this camp site is no ordinary temporary shelter. It's more like a research camp.

There are many iron ingot and some unidentified raw metal. Moreover, there are so many different size of blue stone which I don't know what use of it. but unlike the pile of metals. There are so many blue colored rocks.

As I went deeper in the ruin house. I saw a blacksmith materials like anvil and furnace, but what surprised me was a large unfinished armor that looks like my war coffin.

Although it may look like my machine. This armor was smaller and different at the same time.

"Whoever do this might be one of the scientist from the kingdom of Busan. But I don't see anything wires or even a radioactive fuel inside but rather this weird looking rock."

As I finished inspecting this unfinished armor. I went to the research room.

Inside, there are homemade notebooks and some scattered papers everywhere. Although I pick one of them. I still can't read this words as I sigh and toss it in other pile of papers.

In the desk, my eyes when wide as I saw the full schematic drawing on the table.

What they making wasn't a war coffin machine but rather The power armor suit. which it's main purpose was to assist the war coffin machine in repairs and loading ammunition.

They never set in Frontlines since this armor suit isn't suited in fighting since they lack defence capabilities. Especially our enemy was a zentrax, which capable to cut our tanks like they are made in papers.

This made me confused and anxious. As feel like a some kind of theoretical person.

"Who made this? Isn't one of those scientist?... No that's impossible. The letters and the condition of the armor suit isn't made by my people. Could it be they reverse engineered them."

As question in my mind was increasing. I heard the sound of the footsteps. This made me alerted as I was prepared myself.

As I keep listening for the incoming footsteps. It stop from it's tracks.

This made me realize that someone already notice my presence and prepared for combat.

While we wait for each other to who shall attack first. I realized that the enemy already made a move.

Multiple shot fired at my location but what surprised me was it wasn't made by bullet but plasma beam.

"Dammit! They even reverse engineered the plasma gun!"

Although the shot wasn't affected me. It will be a problematic if they hit my backpack since it wasn't originally made in adamantine but rather a ordinary metal.

Leave me no choice. I decided to put my back in the wall and wait until they finished firing.

Soon enough, they stop shooting thinking that their target was kill. Although I could hear footsteps coming the other side of the wall.

This made me take a chance as I punch the wall and grab one of them.

"Tuka!"

As I pull one of them. I saw a terrified face as I stared at him but it surprised me.

His body was small and hairy but what's interesting was his body and face look like a rat.

"What the hell is this?"

"Tuka! Metikano vetish ka!"

As i was confused what it was talking about. The whole wall collapse and when I looked at outside.

There are more ratman pointing their weapons at me and those nearby ran away in safety.

"This is getting weirder."

POV Rashad

"He got tuka!"

"What is that golem?!"

"We have to destroyed it to save tuka!"

"How do we even do that?!"

While everyone is panicking on what to do. My eyes only focus on the metallic golem.

This so called golem was the same picture on the book in the ruins we scavenge and here I thought I wouldn't see it until now.

As everyone was getting anxious. The captain said.

"We have no choice, we cannot save tuka."

When the captain spoke in regretting tone. One soldier replied.

"But captain! We can't sacrifice tuka! He is-."

"Silent! Do you want to be killed by that behemoth!"

As everyone heard this, everyone turned grim as they prepared to pointed their weapons again. But the golem who saw the soldiers reaction took his weapon and made a sound I never heard.

Rang!!!!

This action is telling us that if we shoot, we will be killed.

The weapon that look like a sword gave a sparking light in the other side of the blade as it gave a terrifying sound.

Although I don't know what it use. I have the feeling that it wasn't made to slice.

As tension was raising, I decided to act and walk towards the metallic golem.

"What are you doing! Come back here professor Rashad!"

Although the captain shouted in anger. I refused to listen as I walk towards the metallic golem.

When I stop in front of him. I saw tuka who was held by this golem looks like his going to pass out in fear.

When I looked at the golem. I have once saw a picture of a human inside. Although it was a theory. I hope my intuition was right otherwise I'll die like a fool.

As I clear my voice as ask.

"Mister golem, can you let go my people? He looks like he will died in fear."

At my question, the golem didn't move or said a word. He just keep staring at me like he was staring at my soul. Although he looks terrifying. I tried to calm myself and didn't show any fear.

Moments later, he lowed his weapon and said.

"dangsin-eun nugu-igo mueos-ibnikka?"

I don't know what it was talking about but my plan to communicate him works.
