Far From Home

Every morning, Tecilia gets up and runs for miles as part of her morning routine to maintain and hone her skills. Her father taught her everything from exhausting an opponent's will to fight to making a quick kill. Tecilia often participated in sports that involved long distance running. He believed that running would help her develop the strength, endurance, and agility she would need in the future. She was trained to push her limits, and it showed in the results of her races. She always finished first and had a natural gift for running. Her father's emphasis on physical training gave Tecilia a unique advantage over her competitors.

Along Tecilia's usual route to take, she came across a crouching figure, covered in rags and wearing out clothing with holes. Tecilia stopped and asked the figure what was wrong. The figure was an elderly woman who was homeless and in need of food and shelter. Tecilia decided to help her and took the woman home, offering her a place to stay and a warm meal.

Upon seeing Tecilia's early return, her father inquire into her sudden change of plan.

Tecilia explained the situation to her father who agreed to offer the woman a place to stay until she got back on her feet. Tecilia's father was proud of his daughter's kindness and dedication to helping others.

The elderly women's room was illuminated by a mysterious glow. From within the room, a young maiden opened and exited, and no homeless or distressed elderly women were inside.

She wandered across the halls and stood behind a majestic, dark wooden door.

"Who is there?"

Asked in annoyance as Tecilia's father walked towards his door while tying on his robe.

He opened the door to see his daughter standing there with a suitcase in her hand. She looked up at him with an expression of determination,

"I'm leaving home."

"What?"

"I am leaving."

"Who said you can leave?"

"I decided."

Before Tecilia's father replies. He saw Tecilia running towards the entrance door.

He chased after a shadow that was resembling Tecilia in fear of never seeing her again without thinking for a moment. His mind is clouded and he is unable to think rationally of Tecilia who has remained asleep and the young maiden approaching her room.

A distance away, Tecilia's father followed the shadow outside only for it to dissipate into thin air. With growing fear Tecilia may be gone. He looked towards Tecilia's bedroom and watched the silhouette of his daughter and the unknown maiden. When he realises that it was only a decoy to keep him away from her, he sees the truth of being casted under an illusion created.

He ran faster and harder than ever before, and his heart pounded in his chest. Tecilia's father hoped to reach her in time before the same glow from within the elderly women's room appeared once more. Tecilia's father had to shield his eyes from its blinding lights. He stumbled inside to find an empty bedroom.

Tecilia's father examined the room for signs of resistance, however, the room remained the same which made him laugh.

"Return soon Tecilia."

What left behind was an imprint of her outline where she had laid. Nevertheless, despite someone else presents beside his. Indicate his daughter remained motionless at the time and was more than prepared to face the maiden alone.
