Second Meeting

Corolla got to the office the next day. She walked straight into her private elevator, while nodding to the greetings of her employees. She pressed on the button for the highest floor, put in a pin only the higher management knew about. As elevator made its way up, she thought of the incident that happened yesterday, she was surprised because none of her mother's so called relatives showed up when they put her mother six feet. As cold blooded as she was, she knew she still wanted a family, one who would treat her right and show her the true meaning of family. The ding of the elevator pulled her out of her thoughts. She made her way past the reception's desk on her floor, the receptionist greeted her, she nodded back at her. As she was on her way to her office, she realized that her employees were looking at her in a very fearful manner, she shrugged it off as it wasn't the first time that they were looking at her that way. As she got to her office, she was about to scan her fingerprint to open the door when her other secretary, Grace, appeared behind her. Grace appeared nervous as she spoke....

"Ma'am, there's someone here to see you..." Grace spoke before Corolla interrupted her.

"Who's he? Does he have an appointment?"

"No ma'am, he doesn't have an appointment"

"Then why is he in my building?"

At this point, they've both entered the office. Corolla walked behind her desk and sat down on the large chair, the window behind them glaring sunshine.

"....he said he has told you before about the meeting ma'am" Grace stuttered.

"Name?!?" Corolla booted up her system.

"His name is Ayden Black ma, the king of the South" Grace's eyes seems to sparkle as she mentioned his name.

Corolla was annoyed on hearing this name so much within the last two days.

"Invite him in" Corolla rubbed her face with her hand, feeling tired early in the morning.

_________________________________________Ayden woke up feeling angry. He thought about the stubborn woman he met yesterday and he got angry more.

He got up and went into the bathroom. He saw the maid had run a bath for him as usual. He removed his pajamas and entered the bathtub, the water getting to his neck. He laid his head on the edge of the tub where there was a plush cushion for him so his neck wouldn't be uncomfortable. Ten minutes passed and washed up. He stood up from the bathtub and if a woman suddenly entered, she would've blushes to death. Toned and muscled arms pushes his body out of the tub. His chest was rippling with muscles, not a single bit of fat could be felt. He flipped his hair to the back and opened his blue-grey eyes, he looked somewhat exotic. He ran his finger through his hair. He stretched his hand and took a towel of the hook, he moved the towel around his body. He stepped in front of the mirror and saw dark hair were showing at the root of the blonde hair, which showed that the dye was coming off. He shrugged it off and went into his closet and tried to pick out an outfit that seems to make him more approachable, he settled on dark slacks and a light blue round neck sweatshirt. He was still staying at Ruby Palace, that's Lady Emeline's palace. He walked out of his room and saw a maid standing outside,

"What are you standing here doing?" He asked her suspicious.

"Nothing Your Majesty, it's my job to wait on you Your Majesty" She bowed her head and curtsied.

"Whatever" He dismissed her, walked ahead then stopped to give her one more instruction.

"Ensure the kitchen deliver my food to Aunty's room immediately I go in, the must not be a second late" He said rudely, then walked away.

The maid was furious but what could she do, who gives instructions like that, she ran to the kitchen, almost tripping thrice on her way. She told them the instruction given to her and went her way.

Ayden knocked and entered Lady Emeline's room when he heard her affirmation. He saw her sitting on the couch watching the news with a cushion under her leg.

"Aunty what are you doing sitting up?" Ayden rushed to her side to try to get her to stand up and go back to the bed.

"And what am I young man?!" Lady Emeline swatted his hand away and adjusted herself comfortably.

"And nothing is wrong with me, I'm very well now" She added because she thought she was a bit harsh.

"Ughh Aunty, Yu said that you should get a lot of rest and eat healthily" Ayden chided her gently.

"Yu said that, Yu said this, well, I know my body best Ayden. Take a seat." She replied him and gestured to the space beside her.

"Did you have any information on Corolla Fanners?!?" She asked expectantly.

"She's a bit difficult Aunty" Ayden sighed.

"She also knew nothing about you or anyone from her mother's side....oh! she has a daughter now" Ayden said inquiringly. He clearly wanted more information.

Hey guys, I know I've not been consistent but pls forgive me...it was not intentional....lots of outside factors affected me writing. I'm sorry for not fulfilling my earlier promise.
