Family is Important

"He just wants more money" The nanny managed to squeeze out.

"Oh really?" Corolla said. She released the nanny.

"Grace, show the king to my waiting room" Corolla said to Grace and then looked at Kylie.

Grace walked out with Ayden and Kylie and she showed him the waiting room and asked an assistant to serve him coffee and biscuits, while she left Kylie with him.

Back in Corolla's office.

Corolla tapped on a button on her table and two huge bodyguards came in.

"Take her to the torture room" Corolla said coldly.

"Pls No.... NOOOOOOOO...PPLLEEAASSEE...donttttttttt" The nanny screamed as she was dragged out.

She wouldn't dare take any chances with her daughter. They could scheme against her but not her daughter. Her daughter was the limit. She walked out of her office to the room where Ayden was.

She went inside and sat down on the couch opposite where Ayden sat down. She saw that both Ayden and Kylie were looking and filling a color book. She knew she owed him this one. Corolla pressed on a button on the table. Grace entered.

"Please take Kylie away from here so I can continue the meeting" Corolla said to Grace.

Grace went towards Kylie and took her hand. Kylie followed Grace and waved at Ayden.

"See you later uncle" Kylie waves, smiling.

"Gracie, I want chocolates....." Kylie voice drifted as they walked out of the room.

Corolla and Ayden looked at each other.

"Good morning Ms Fanners" Ayden started the conversation cordially.

"Morning, thanks for helping Kylie, if not she would have been kidnapped" Corolla said thankfully.

"It's nothing" Ayden did not know that she was going to be kidnapped, but he did not really care because it all worked in his favor.

"I thought about what you said about you having a message from my mother's family but my mother told me that she had no family, so what's the prove?" Corolla said, not wanting to waste time.

"I think your mom lied so her family wouldn't find her" Ayden said and smiled and looked at her, knowing that she was not stupid not to have figured that out.

"Who are you to say so?" Corolla put her first under her chin and looked at him.

"Well, first of all, your mother royalty. Your grandmother, her mother, died because she was ran away from home with a stupid idiot" Ayden replied her.

Corolla raised one brow,

"Really? Royalty? Of where?"

"The South" Ayden replied.

"So how does that concern you? When did a King become a messenger?" Corolla said.

Ayden smiled. To Corolla, it was mocking.

"Anyways, what is the message from my mother's family?" Corolla asked, air quoting the mother's family.

"Well, your aunt wants you to come back" Ayden said to her.

Corolla laughed.

"She wants me to come back? So? Just don't waste your time, go back and tell them not to waste theirs also" Corolla said, angry a little.

"And on the matter of acquisition, forget about it. I'm not interested in selling my company. I'm not making a loss so we're good" Corolla said again. She stood up, not giving him the chance to reply.

Ayden stood up and looked at the woman who was acting a bit emotional.

"Think about it. Family is everything" Ayden said and walked out.

Corolla composed herself. She walked out of the waiting room.

"Grace!!" Corolla shouted. The group of assistants scattered to their office spaces. Grace walked out of the break room with Kylie.

"Mommy" Kylie ran to Corolla and Corolla bent down to hug her.

"Clear my schedule" Corolla said.

She went into her office, took her bag and her laptop case. She has an eventful morning already. She went out of the office, went into the elevator. She knew by now, everyone of her staff would have known that she has a child but it was not easy for her. At least, now, she could move freely with her baby girl. She went into the underground parking lot and unlocked her car. She put Kylie in the back and buckled up her seat belt. She closed the back door, and as she wanted to open the driver's door, a hand slammed it close. The second hand of the person moved to her neck and held her in place. Kylie screamed.

"Transfer one million into my account now" A gruff voice said. She knew that voice. As it seems, her own father was robbing her. She used her elbow to hit his stomach and turned holding his hands over his neck.

"Don't you ever threaten me, got that?" Corolla asked moving his hand to the back more.

He gruntled.

"Don't you ever touch my baby!" She squeezed harder.

"She's a bastard. You don't even know how you got pregnant with her" He squeezed out.

Immediately, Corolla flipped him over her shoulder. She got into the car, took some bundles of bills. She lowered the window and threw the bundle on the man on the floor.

"Don't bother me again! If not..." Corolla said started the car. And as she sped away, she laughed in her mind at the person who told her family is important.
