Chapter 9: Frostbite

///TS-40's POV///

I watch as they experiment on the slime that I found. It's remarkable they say, all other experiments ended with the recipient of the serum becoming completely mindless. They say that this one might be different because two slimes came together shortly after drinking the serum.

I'm interrupted from my thoughts by a phone call, its from my supervisor.

"Frostbite, (TS-40's Name) Dragonfly has failed. Capture Dragonfly and bring him back to the compound."

"What about the traitor, and why does Dragonfly have to be captured?"

"We believe that the traitor will come to us eventually, so keep your guard up. As for Dragonfly, he is too weak to be any use to us as he is. So we will use him for experiments."

I shudder.

'Would they do that to me if I failed?'

"Understood." I finally reply.

"As for the unusual slime that you found, we've determined that the traitor was actually the one who defeated it, along with Iron Man. So there is no need to worry about a second threat." The supervisor continues.

"Understood."

"Prepare for an assault from the traitor and Iron Man. That's all." He says before hanging up.

'This is complete bullsh*t, if that traitor, Morgan he calls himself now, was willing to come in and destroy us, there was nothing we would be able to do. With the help of Iron Man and his tech, there is nothing in this compound that can defeat him. He defeated Dragonfly with shedding a single drop of blood, or Dragonfly wouldn't even be alive now.'

Before I can continue my depressing thoughts, a female scientist excitedly walks up to me.

"We've found a way to make the slime you found incredibly strong!"

///Morgan's POV///

It's been a week after the fight with Dragonfly. When I'm in school, I hang out Felicia. We've made up by the way, I helped her get through being, "stolen," from. I have a sinking suspicion she's talking about when I did a little switcheroo with her stolen gems.

When I'm out of school, I help coordinate a search for the compound where Dragonfly came from. Helping me is Tony, Jarvis (Tony's AI), and Alfred. Unfortunately, we haven't found anything yet, but Tony, in his Iron Man suit, is following through with a possible lead we found.

I keep thinking back to something Dragonfly said to me. It was about me relying on Tony's tech to solve my problems. It's pushed me to training my body harder. Don't get me wrong, I've been working out ever since I was adopted, but I wasn't pushing myself. I've decided that I'm going not use the Iron Man suit much anymore, but for the raid of the compound that we are looking for, I'll take it out. I don't want anything to go wrong.

I'm even going as far as to bring the Ebony Blade, despite the consequences of me using are. I'm unwilling to let any harm come to my father.

Then Tony calls me.

"I've found it, sending the coordinates now." He says.

I feel my heart start to race, its time.

"Wait there, don't enter without me."

I suit up and grab a bag holding the Ebony Blade and take off.

///Frostbite's POV///

I'm waiting for Dragonfly to show up. I told him that I'll help him out, because the supervisor wants him dead. In reality, it's a trap that's made for him to walk into. He'd always believed that we were close, but we never were.

I look at my watch, he said he'd be here 2 minutes ago, and I hate wasting time when I know Morgan can attack at any time. Finally, I here a swooping sound and see a rugged, injured Dragonfly roughly land in front of me.

"Frostbite, I knew I could count on you. If we want to run we have to do it now." He says with false hope shining in his eyes.

"And you criticize Morgan for leaving, you're nothing but a hypocrite." I say in disgust as I signal for the sniper to tranquilize Dragonfly.

His eyes widen in shock when the dart hits him before dropping to the ground unconscious. Men come out and grab him before moving him onto a truck.

The captain walks up to me.

"Good job Frostbite, the supervisor tells you to wait at the compound for further orders." He says.

"Yes sir." I say in a bored tone.

'When am I ever going to get a break?'

Then I receive a call.

"What is it now?" I say, annoyed.

"THEY'RE HERE, COME BA-" The caller screams out before the call suddenly ends.

My expression turns grim as I order the nearest soldier driving a car to bring me back.

///Morgan's POV///

Everything is going smoothly, Tony blew up the doors before a released a shadow blast. It completely took them off guard, everyone's just standing around, waiting to die. As we mow through all the fodder, guards finally show up, but they're no match for me and the Iron Man.

It seems like this is going to be too easy when TS-40 finally shows up. She throws a bunch of ice spears at us, which we dodge.

"Isn't this ice chick the one that you wanted to turn to your side?" Tony asks me.

"Yeah, leave her to me." I reply.

Tony flies away to take out more guards. I raise my hands, reveal my face, and land.

"Let's talk through this TS-40. Wait did you get a new name too?" I ask.

"That's none of your business." She snarls before summoning ice spears around me.

I destroy them all with my shadows before continuing.

"I know you don't like the way your life is right now, you never did. If you come with me, I promise you'll have a much better life." I say while holding my hand out.

'Wow, I feel like I'm really good this stuff. I bet she'll agree right away.' I think.

She responds by looking at me for a long moment…before an ice spike stabs toward my gut. I dodge at the last second but it still hits me, making me freak out.

"I froze your wound, so you won't bleed. I not an idiot, I know I'll never be able to escape from these people, and I won't let you escape either." She says in a mocking voice.

That's when I got angry, REAL ANGRY.

'I'M GOING TO POUND THIS B****** F****** FACE IN!!'

I raise my left gauntlet and unleash a super mega blast. She's sent flying, but had weakened the blast with ice shields she summoned.

'THAT B**** THINKS THAT SHE CAN KILL ME!!'

I jump forward uppercut her, breaking her jaw. (She doesn't have a super body like Dragonfly or the mc) Then I step over her moaning body and stomp on her face soft enough to not completely crush her head 5 times. She screams as everything in her face breaks.

"MERCY, PLEASE!!"

"THERE IS NO MERCY FOR YOU. YOU HAVEN'T FELT ANYTHING YET!"

As I'm kicking her broken body everywhere, I hear a loud roar that sounds like a bunch a peoples voices mixing together.

"MORGAN!!!!" the voice/voices roar.

I turn around and look at where the roar came from. I see a huge, green, hulk-shaped slime.
