Zhang Xiu was a bit surprised by her reaction, but she was happy too. After all, it had been quite a long time since she had seen her. It was only natural for Wang Chen's mother to miss her. She stood there, still shocked by the scene before her. Wang Chen and Zhang Xiu smiled.
"Hey mum, I'm ho–" Wang Chen said, but was abruptly interrupted by his mother, as she jumped to hug Zhang Xiu.
"Zhang Xiu, my daughter! How have you been? Why didn't you come visit me?" She shouted as she hugged Zhang Xiu tightly. A hug this tight from someone less than a mortal was not too tight to Zhang Xiu. She laughed and returned the hug.
"I'm doing well ma'am. I'm so sorry that I couldn't come visit. I've been very busy lately." She gave an excuse… which was actually true, to some extent.
