The Infernal Architect

Reincarnated into his past self, Tyler is given the chance to correct his biggest mistake. He rediscovers the Liber Infernus- an ancient tome penned by a fallen celestial. [By wielding this book, you gain access to the lost knowledge and inventions and oblige to being the new infernal architect! However, the price you must pay is your humanity. You must accept to turn into a demon and brace all its downsides. Do you consent?] Tyler stared calmly at the book as a smirk silently rose on his lips. "Yes!" Just that simple word was enough to change his fate for the better and stop the impending apocalypse from ever happening. Or was it? His fate will change, alright. But for the better? - I highly doubt that!

The Existence Theory

"Why are you here in the library? Everyone else is training for the tournament...." Tyler was curious. Aurora was an E- rank who stood a chance in the tournament, yet she wasn't training.

It was completely wild for him to run into someone in the library of all places given the fact that the most population was in training. The second years had not yet reported to the academy so the library should have been one of the emptiest facilities.

"Well, not everyone...there are F ranks and G ranks who are just doing their own thing around the campus...."

"But you're not one of them....You're an E- rank,"

"Well, I just don't care about section 3....for now. I'm sure another chance will come up any time after the tournament..."

Bang! Bang!

Both dropped their pile of books on a study table in the library's reading room which was currently empty.

Sitting down, Aurora proceeded to ask, "So, what's up with all these books? Are you going to read them all at once?— Oh, Ah...." She noticed the theme of the books as her expression brightened, "You're into demons and angels too! Wow, we were fated to meet, I've been researching that too! Don't tell me you believe in that kind of stuff too! Mehn! I thought I was crazy!"

Aurora pretended to wipe away fake tears with exaggerated emotions.

There it was — her bickering nature. She kinda reminded him of Chloe...

Tyler sat on the other side of the round study desk with a thoughtful look.

-So, that's why you were in the mythology section! Is she like me? Should I ask?

"Well, I don't....I'm just looking into it for fun..."

Almost immediately, Aurora's expression fell like her hope had shattered, "You don't?"

However she brightened up once again and started blabbering; "Whatever, as long as you're interested, that's fine, but...." raising her brow, she proceeded to ask, "You know, if its just for fun, reading all those books is suspicious. Are you sure, you don't believe in that?"

Tyler immediately coughed violently as his lie was seen through but luckily Aurora switched the topic as soon as she felt the awkward atmosphere between them. "Anyway, You don't have to read that....I've read it all, you can ask me whatever you want..."

Tyler raised his brow as he looked at the books on the table.

-Her mentality is already higher than mine. I wonder how high her IQ is if she has read all these books...

Looking back at her, he asked curiously, "Okay, tell me about the first earth..."

"First earth? Oh!.... Yeah, you mean before the reset! Wow, you believe in that too! Where should I start from?"

"Just tell me how it was shortly before the reset...."

"Okay, So...when humans had multiplied and filled the earth, celestials interacted with humans normally and lived amongst them. They were gods to the people. They answered all the wishes of the humans. Some celestials found human women beautiful and took them as wives giving birth to a line of offspring known as the Nephilim! They were demigods, often characterized by their gigantic build compared to normal humans. They were champions who ruled over nations and often declared war against each other due to their violent and malevolent nature. Soon there were as many Nephilim as there were humans — their violent nature spread all over the earth.

A hierarchy was soon created, where humans were bottom feeders, suffering under the rule of the Nephilim. In a bid to correct the mistake they made, the celestials introduced mana a.k.a spiritual energy into the earth so humans could fight for their freedom. They didn't stop at that but also introduced technology that was a million times more advanced than that era causing an imbalance in generational tech.

The humans began fighting back and finally, they could stand toe to toe against the Nephilim. But much to the celestial's horror, the humans had also acquired the Nephilim's violent energy and soon it was hell on earth. There was no more compassion even amongst the humans. The humans turned out to be even worse than the Nephilim as they slaughtered even their own kind like chicken. Power drove them insane as they yearned to topple over everyone!

So the great flood was sent, wiping out every living creature that wasn't in Noah's ark and so the world was restarted...

The celestials responsible for everything were slowly banished to Hades, joining the other fallen. And so disappeared the knowledge of mana or anything related to the celestials."

Now Tyler knew who those giant people were — angry demigods coming back to reclaim Earth...Ramiel did mention that they were sent to a different planet before the flood.

Ramiel was one of those banished, so that meant he was also responsible for what happened. He must have procreated with a human woman and probably had a child too. Could that child have been Castiel?

"So, if you're saying all celestials that were on earth back then were banished and everything about them was wiped out, then who are the greek and norse gods, how come people still know about them?"

"Well, that's a little complicated. It's just theory on my part, but I think we created them after the reset....."

"So they weren't real?"

"Nope! They were real and I believe they still are....You see, when humans all think a like, they become a very powerful existence capable of creating entities through their faith and beliefs. The Greek, Egyptian and Norse gods are the least of what the humans could have created. In fact, more existences have been created and are being created through human beliefs and we don't even know what we are doing..."

"So you're telling me, vampires and werewolves are real?" Tyler asked in a bemused tone. Aurora's theories were thought scratching to say the least. He wanted to laugh and make fun of them but they kind of made sense to him.

"Bingo! You catch on quick!!!! Everything that is existing, existed and what existed and isn't existing will exist....."

"..." Tyler's expression froze immediately! If he had water in his mouth, he would have spat it out in shock.

Suddenly, it was like someone had started a cog-wheel reaction in his brain as he tried to piece all the puzzles together.

-So what Ramiel meant by that was imagination. Before something exists, it already existed as an imagination or belief. And what isn't existing yet existed or is existing as a belief and it will eventually turn into reality with due time.....

One of the reasons the earth was reset was because of the generational imbalance of technology. So advancement is proceeding naturally like it should after the reset. Systems right now are an imagination and fiction which means eventually in the future they will become a reality. But Daren's system is different since it is already existing. It was from the first earth where systems where introduced unnaturally. Its supposed to be wiped out but was preserved in Daotian's cave. Which means, some of our fictional items now can be discovered in those ruins instead of waiting for the natural invention of them. But isn't this upsetting the technology and generational balance once again? Is digging up those artifacts going to cause another wipe out and reset? I'll have to ask Ramiel. That's if he is willing to answer that. No, I might just have to do my own research. I still don't know Ramiel's intentions in this whole matter. I shouldn't be trusting a Fallen.

"But anyway! Its just my fantasy, haha, look at you believing in it, HAHA... I haven't seen any of those gods nor vampires and werewolves,"

It might be just a speculation to Aurora, but to Tyler a lot of things made sense. Even if he wanted to pass it off as a joke, he couldn't because everything made sense to him. Even Vampires and Werewolves. If objects and technology could exist because of belief, why not living beings....

He thought he was the only anomaly in this little world, but somewhere somehow, there could be a god, a vampire, a werewolf walking on the same soil he was...

These were all entities that existed long before the rediscovery of mana yet they were superior to humans. How powerful could they be now if they could use mana?
