Changes

He arrives home to a not very happy mother, but a pretty disappointed one. She scolds him but he doesn't listen and goes to his room and shuts himself. His mother takes a deep sigh and recalls his past. "He was such a bright and nice kid… He destroyed him…" Xavier wasn't always like this, he had a father that was a researcher and scientist. He loved his parents very much and was usually an outside kid, playing with his friends in the park or using play pools, going on playdates and overall just having fun with his friends… Well his only friend, Jayce. His father was not quite a nice person. He made a new drug that can either boost a person's personality and appearance or shatter it. He used himself as a guinea pig and experimented on it. It completely destroyed his fatherly and mature personality. He was diagnosed with immense schizophrenia, insomnia and depression. He went ballistic when he heard about this and started trashing his lab until he looked over to Xavier who was looking at him very worried. He grabbed Xavier by the shoulder, lifted him up and hugged him before stabbing his right thigh with the drug that he had created. Xavier goes unconscious and is in a state of coma for a month. When he wakes up he looks to his mother then his friend Jayce and looks back to his mother and asks, "Where is dad, mom?". The mother replies, "Daddy is gone for a while." when actually he was serving a life sentence in detention for mentally ill persons. From then onwards, he has never gone outside to play with his friends ever again. Back to the present, the doorbell rings and Xavier goes to pick up a package by his name, "Ah finally, my game's arrived." He says to the delivery man, "Sign here and here." says the delivery man. A shocked delivery man is seen when Xavier thanks him and appreciates his work, usually he's sometimes rude to the delivery man and just takes the package and closes the door, but this time he saw a real smile on his face. He pays the delivery man, grabs the package and runs to his room. He got a sick new online game and he's proud that he paid good money for it. It's a role-playing survival game named, "survival of the fittest" in a primal manner. The game opens slowly with a character that approaches him and tells him the story of how they got abandoned and that they have a month to survive in a plain jungle with almost no supplies, a protection machete and a flashlight. The game proceeds with the player scavenging for water and food grabbing wood and sticks, he's in awe to see how realistic and close to life it is. "I feel like I'm the character I'm playing, I love it. It's amazing." A snake then approaches slowly behind his character and bites his legs, he's startled and then the game provides him with tips on how to release the poison. He is then tasked to wash the bite and then suffocate his leg for the venom to not further progress. He rips the shirt that he's wearing and suffocates the leg and washes his leg in a nearby river. He enjoys the game but shuts it down after playing it for a while, Xavier proceeds downstairs to go and talk to his mother about what had happened at school. His mother is proud that he had stood up for himself but also sad that he chose violence instead of just talking it out, still she says nothing and gives Xavier a long hug and tells him, "It's going to be alright baby, I know, I made your favorite today! It's fiery pasta!" Xavier gives an adorable smile and says thanks and appreciates his mother in doing so, a much happy mother is seen that Xavier is finally able to give positive emotion and not stay always bummed on about everything, it's a very adorable mother and son sight.
