Impromptu Exorcism (2)

"Teacher..." In the chorus of voices that followed in the wake of the exorcism, Lisala's voice stood out the most to my ears.

It was a voice rife with pain and worry.

The abomination froze as soon as I grabbed its shoulder and squeezed. As my grip tightened, I summoned forth my magic from the bowels of my being, calling it to gather.

Sensing the gathering of magic it had no way of countering or surviving against, the abomination panicked.

It tried to struggle, but I held it down with just my hand. It looked at me with a scowl as it found itself paralyzed. My grip did not just squeeze against the muscle over the shoulder, but it was a technique meant to immobilize the entire muscular tissue of a humanoid.

The technique had served me well in the past, especially in situations where I needed to subdue someone or something without too many injuries or outright killing them.
