"You don't have any important meetings today, just short casual ones," Genny informed.
"What about the one with Mr.Smith?"
"It's scheduled next week."
"Okay and—"
Cutting him off, she inquired, "Boss, do you want me to reschedule today's decorum and add a few meetings?"
Widening his eyes in shock, Ivan croaked, "What? When did I say that?"
"Oh no you didn't, I just thought so. Anyway—" Looking through the file, she further explained, "I have already talked to Amber about your first session."
"Who was Amber again?"
"The therapist you are planning to see and the one I told you about who is also my neighbour and good friend," Genny answered.
Letting out an affirmative sigh, he exclaimed, "Amber Carlton."
"Yes, you are still seeing her, right? Or have you changed your mind?"
"I am still considering seeing her. Just fix a session with her according to my schedule and let me know, okay?"
After Genny left, Ivan tapped his fingers on the desk still contemplating if he should really see a therapist.
"Therapists are sexy, I mean some are."
"What the—when did you come here?" Ivan frowned when Jason pointed towards the open window. "Damn, can't you all for once use the door?"
"Well, you don't seem to welcome us when we do that so I have no other choice but to force myself into your life through this window." Walking towards him, Jason grinned, "So therapist huh? Is she cute?"
Jason Carter was Ivan's cousin who was also a vampire with a special power. All the members of the clan had a special power and Jason was no exception. He could read the mind and thoughts of all creatures.
"I don't know, I haven't seen her yet," Ivan answered.
Raising his brows, Jason remraked, "You haven't even met her and yet you can't stop thinking about her, that is impressive." Sitting on the desk, he inquired, "Are all humans like this?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean you people are so sensitive."
"Well—" Getting up, he made his way towards him. "At least we have a heart that beats and keeps us warm."
Grabbing his chest, Jason groaned, "Ouch, that was a very hurtful statement. You just shoved my immortality right on my face which is rude."
"How is that rude? I just stated a fact."
"Well, calling a vampire immortal and cold hearted is very very rude. It's like calling a fat person fat," Jason explained his point.
Ignoring his silly statement, Ivan sighed. "Why are you here early in the morning? Did Darius send you?"
"Of course not, why would he send me here? And what makes you think I will listen to Darius?" Patting Ivan's shoulder, he smiled. "I just wanted to see humans and the only human I know is you and your other friend—what was his name again? Ethan?"
"Athan."
"Yes, Athan. But since you have warned me not to meet him in your absence, I came here." Squeezing his cheeks, Jason grinned, "Aren't you happy to me my dear brother."
Jerking his hand away, Ivan frowned, "Don't touch me like that, I hate it."
"Says the one who used to run after me when he was a kid,"
"I am no longer a kid Jason."
"Of course, just look at you. Darius was telling me you have stopped ageing but I don't think that is true. You look older than me as well, you are definitely ageing very fast like a normal human," Jason chuckled.
Scrunching his brows, Ivan retorted, "Stop talking shit and if you are here with the intention of pissing me off then go sit on the cou—" Before he could finish his sentence, Jason was already on the couch with his legs on the coffee table.
