'Peace'
Closing his eyes, Ivan sighed. When was the last time he actually felt at peace? He did not remember.
When he was at home, he was always insecure because he was different and did not fit amongst them. He thought after moving out, things would be okay but he couldn't be more wrong.
After coming to the human world where people were like him, he still felt left out at times. No matter where he went, he never felt at peace which was very unfortunate.
Taking out his wallet, he took out the card Amber had given him. Contemplating for a while, he saved her number first before calling her.
He then quickly hung up when his call was directed towards the waiting section.
Keeping the phone on the desk, he gritted his teeth. 'What are you doing Ivan?' he told himself. Why would he try to call Amber when he told Genny to fix an appointment for him?
"Idiot," he muttered before taking a deep breath and getting back to work.
…..
Genny's office.
"When do I send him?"
"He wants to come for a second session? That is great, you can send him tomorrow around afternoon," Amber answered.
"Okay, I will clear his schedule for the afternoon and evening. He can attend the session and go home straight away."
"That sounds good Gen now tell me what you want to say."
Widening her eyes in shock, Genny gasped, "How did you—"
"Well, I am your therapist too, remember?" she chuckled.
Shrugging her shoulders, Genny sighed, "Are you sure you don't want any additional information about him? I mean, I feel like you will be able to help him faster that way and—"
Cutting her off, Amber remarked, "Gen, I know you are worried about him but you can trust me, okay?"
"Of course, I know I can. I should just let you do your work."
"Thank you, I'll talk to you later."
….
Inside Ivan's office.
Staring at his phone's screen, Ivan hesitated for a while before receiving Amber's call.
"I received a call from his number, may I know who it is?"
"Hey, it's me Ivan."
"Oh hello, I was talking to Genny, she told me that you wanted to continue the session. I already told her about the time, you can come tomorrow in the afternoon," Amber informed.
"Okay." Without waiting for her reply, Ivan explained, "I told Genny to talk to you."
"I know but you could have done it too, I mean you have my card and my number so feel free to call anytime and book appointments, okay?"
"Okay, I'll call you myself next time I want an appointment or anything else."
"That's great, I'll see you tomorrow then."
After hanging up the call, Ivan took a deep breath to calm himself down. Why did he feel so nervous while talking to Amber?
"Who was it?"
Looking at the two uninvited guests, Ivan frowned, "What are you both doing here?" without waiting for their reply, he got up. "Get out of here before Darius finds out."
"Woah, are you scared of Darius too?" Dylon chuckled.
"Of course he is, Darius is a creepy man," Rylon added.
Ignoring their comments, Ivan remarked, "You both aren't supposed to leave home and are not allowed to come here, why do you keep breaking rules? You both are still young, stop rebelling like this."
"Look at you nagging like an old man." Both of them scoffed before approaching him.
"I am not nagging, I am just telling you both the right thing."
"Forget about that and tell us who it was on the phone?" Grinning at him, Dylan asked, "Your girlfriend?"
