Memory shock

Devina told me to wait a bit and proceeded to shove me into her pocket dimension.

"Stay here for like 7 minutes."

I asked her where Emovi and the rest of the girls were and they were all sleeping inside Devina's pocket dimension.

Marlowlia, Aylin, and Emovi, they were all safe. Looking around a bit more I could see everyone was safe. The maids and every person in the blast vicinity had all been transported into the pocket dimension. But all of them are for some reason unconscious except me. Did Devina's pocket dimension have a barrier that shuts off the brain?

That wouldn't be so convenient, and Sekito was still awake when she came out of it. So it had to be something else.

Looking emotionally at everyone I almost killed. I wanted to reach out and hug them, happy for them still being alive. But I had almost ended their lives, taking away their freedom, do I have such courtesy to continue living with them?

I couldn't help but ponder on the fairness of that.

Marlowlia's face had been burned, scarred by my powers. Her once soft and delicate face had an ugly burn mark from her left eye down to the left side of her throat.

I had caused my friend suffering, at the time, I didn't know it was her, I attacked blindly and hurt my friend. In retrospect, I hated myself for hurting her. She had cared for me and taken care of me, even if she wanted help. She was kind enough to treat me like a friend, and I hurt her. I caused her pain. I don't want her face, it will remind me of the horrid atrocities I caused to her.

I turned my bodyless head around and wanted to be alone. Even though everyone is unconscious, all this was my fault, I shouldn't have caused so much trouble.

Amidst my thoughts, my head rolled onto the ground. Devina had emptied everyone on the ground. They were all still unconscious. I lay there watching as Devina's mark of Dexterity awakened. The yellow flowers bloomed and rooted themselves into the soil. The roots slowly grew towards every person lying on the ground. The roots touched their heads and buds started to grow. Devina ordered Sekito to place each individual in each individual's bed.

"How am I supposed to know their bedrooms?"

"Just check the number on their shirt, it should match the door number."

"You stamped a number on everyone's shirt?"

"Yes."

Sekito looked at Devina with a puzzled expression before doing as she said. Sekito started placing everyone back into their rooms. There is only one person left on the ground.

It is Thrude, armless, with broken bones, a fractured skull, weak pulse, he's on death's door.

"Lookie Vivshi, this guy, you tried to kill. You still want to kill him?"

I look fiercely at his lifeless body. His body was cold, empty, and unconscious. I didn't feel any hatred or spite towards him anymore. He tried to take away my freedom, so I gave him a nice beatdown, but I didn't like him. He accused me of something I didn't do, he incarcerated me on false accusations, and he didn't give me a chance to explain. I didn't want to see him, but did he deserve to die?

In my opinion, yes, he is a despicable man who tortured many women. He halted their movement. He violated them, of all people did he become rich?

Was it because he was lucky? Was it because he had good karma? Or was it because he is smart?

No.

He simply lived.

He lived long enough to see himself rich. One person may think they are going to become rich or popular, but for that, you need to live.

Mr. Fivindius he lived. Because he lived he became successful, even if do horrendous things, if you live, you will see yourself become the thing you want to be.

"Do you want to kill him Vivshi?"

"Devina."

"Yeppers?"

"What do you live for?"

Devina looked up into the starry sky and looked down into the soil.

"I live for myself."

"Is that so?"

"Devina, do you know what I live for?"

"You live for freedom."

I gave Devina a warm smile. I want Mr. Fivindius to die but I live for freedom. A human's soul bound to mine isn't freedom.

Devina smiled back at me, she picked up my head and walked over to Mr. Fivindius's body.

"You are gonna have to clean this up."

"That's right you big turd. Look at the mess you did."

Devina smacked my head.

"Anything you want to say to him before I send you off?"

I looked down at Mr. Fivindius, spat on his face, and turned my head around.

"Well, Vivshi imma just put you back into my pocket dimension. Be a good boy alright?"

Thus Devina cleaned up everything after me.
