Hunting the Riders
Vir grinned as he listened to the riders' conversation with the imperial soldiers while eating his meal.
He already heard that the throne of the Western Kingdom was usurped by Avarius and the Occyens. However, he did not expect that the old Occyens would want to expand his territory by invading other countries.
To Vir, the reason for building new transportation facilities in those dead lands was just a mere cover for Avarius' ambition.
Although the Southwest and Northwest Lands had been dead for a long time, Vir thought that they still had some valuable natural resources that Avarius might be eyeing.
Considering that the Western Country was flanked by two lands, Southwest and Northwest, Vir thought that only in those two lands could Avarius expand its territory. While in the other two dead lands, Southeast and Northeast, Vir had never encountered any Occyens doing the same thing in those two regions.
