The camp of the hobgoblins was doing their usual thing, horseplaying amongst themselves, torturing the new laborers either mentally or physically, as for the sex slaves, regardless of whether they were male or female, these hobgoblins didn't care as long as there was a usable hole your fate was sealed.

since the human's bodies were more enjoyable compared to those of their race, age didn't matter to them, as all of them suffered, well except for a few grannies, that was a sight that could burn the eyes of anyone else that saw this that was human or former!

One such victim was flying through the air about to send forth his 'eyes' to clear out the place, but no worries I'll spare my dear readers of such imaginations about just how much the grannies were enjoying themselves~

Ignoring the lustful cries of before, Sciens was preparing to take them out quietly but the scene before his clone's eyes was just asking for trouble. the children were suffering more than the adults.

Every hollow at a certain point gains an obsession, like Harribel's nature to care for her people, or Grimmjow's nature to seek strength and battle, or even Archer's obsession of protecting the weak.

With this information in mind, when it comes to Sciens, his obsession is watching over the children and protecting them.

the very sight of a child suffering through the 'methods' that hobgoblins like to employ, that was just begging this hollow to erase them from the face of the earth!

So each mono-eyed spider that was there, grew in size and power each of them roaring to the heavens, as they gained the power that rivaled an Adjuchas, fueled by the rippling emotion that surged through them that went on a loop!

until the base of the hobgoblins was surrounded by the only god knows how many of these spiders that glared so viciously at these monsters, luckily for the humans they were spared from what was happening as the vast number of spiders that released dense amounts of reiatsu.

the Hobgoblins that were too close?

disintegrated!

those that were a bit farther?

crushed under the pressure!

Those that were out of range?

balas worked wonders of ripping them apart!

those that tried using humans as shields?

the poisonous webs that couldn't be seen by the naked eye did their job of eliminating such risk-takers.

That camp was cleared of these monsters in a few minutes thanks to being of one mind.

But since this camp had children suffering such ways what of the others?

So for the rest of the night, this hollow brought hell upon the monster camps that occupied this city of ruins.

the actions of this hollow added a sudden influx of humans heading towards the holy grounds that Kentarou kept spouting about, which led to more than half of the newcomers being converted into the damned cult, what was even worse one of the humans 'blessed by Sciens' happened to see what he did.

Bringing an even bigger headache when they all started PRAYING!

For one, Sciens loves peace and quiet as well as the safety of the children in his reach.

Two he doesn't even think of himself as a friggin god, he was a hollow nothing will change that!

But despite him 'correcting' them they quickly assumed 'hollow' was another term used by the gods that had a different meaning than what their feeble minds can understand thus the big headache now as the main clone was telling some of the silly moments he had with his friends to the children.

All while the adults thought there was some kind of hidden meaning to the damned story, frustrating Sciens to no end as they overspeculated anything he said!

That's fanaticism for ya.

Even the one they were praying to was getting confused, as hell, from the random things they gained 'epiphany' from!

A few days later when the newcomers were settled, the hollow thought that he can finally relax and laze around but a certain girl had other ideas, which led to him gaining an even bigger problem as Shizuka relayed her final favor that only served to leave a big and annoying task that will bug him for centuries.

The teenage girl was bowing as she asked this.

"Can you stay here and protect this place?"

it may sound simple and vague but that request meant a whole lot more as her feelings mixed with the request!

Sure he could stay but thanks to her emotions it literally meant him to come out of his peaceful place, yes he can protect this place but again thanks to that little addition and her love for JAPAN she literally asked him to protect a whole fucking country!

while he'd love to deny such a quest, his oath to Abe no Seimei only takes effect if he is capable of doing such a thing.

with his current power?

Yes, that was more than easy leading to the oath coming into effect as he now looked at the girl with a slight grudge!

But he had no choice but to agree, thanks to his obsession to watch over the children taking control for a bit.

It was just that upon him accepting the task given to him, more cracks in the skies had taken form, the monster population increased by 100X more while mankind had weapons and artillery, against the seemingly endless hordes of monsters anything that any powerful nation had quickly used up compared to the manufacturing rate.

but what do you think happened when some of the higher-ups that sent aircrafts and spy planes to deal with the monsters when they found out about 'Land god' and the people under its protection?

Even more so when the 'blessed ones' began to fight back against the monsters?

While many of them couldn't see him, the fact that there are people that could use the gifts that a land god bestowed upon them was quickly spread to the other nations so elite forces from all over the world were sent here to receive the 'blessings'.

As for the 'land god'?

He didn't give a shit about them there was no reason to.

there were even a few people from the elite forces that were quickly made into examples when they bothered to threaten the people under him one more unfortunate human pointed his gun at a child in desperation which led to the person losing his upper body~

But to make them leave the place finally, especially when a negotiator was able to catch a glimpse of one of the mono-eyed spiders, that was looking at him with a glowing red orb floating above it, He managed to cut a deal that helped a lot of countries immensely, in the long run, by sending a single spider to each country.

Much to the hollow's reluctance, one of the children, bribed by the negotiator with candy, gave him the super effective puppy dog eyes as the young boy asked him.

"Are you going to stop the bad monsters?"

He was halfway shaking his head no but the boy began to tear up so he quickly switched to nodding as he made a mental note of no kids nearby when negotiating with anyone!

The scene of the man giving the child the bribe after the fact only served to strengthen that idea! while he will eliminate the threat, he will not allow anymore 'blessed' people to appear in other countries if he can help it!

As eventually if it spreads too much it may bite him in the ass later.

But now for the upcoming issue, a bunch of monsters of different races was heading to this place and some of them were capable of killing some of his regular clones.

His dilemma was whether or not if he should simply kill them from afar or close quarters as now he was annoyed as hell and contemplated which method can blow off the most steam!
