Bringer of Disaster/Holder of Devils

Flowing Petals' eyes opened.

"Resting during battle? Quite naive." A voice sounded.

Flowing Petals uncrossed their arms, "A fool for thinking that was resting."

"Ha! Your lies are meaningless."

Flowing Petals outstretched their arm, small yellow orbs appeared and collected. Within a second they took shape of a spear. The light disappeared and a crimson spear was within Flowing Petals' hand.

The person who walked up boldly was an individual nicknamed Holder of Devils. Flowing Petals was unaware of their abilities, but they felt like such information was unneeded.

Flowing Petals estimated the battle would end in less than five minutes!

~ ~ ~

"Hahahaha! Stand again! Fight for your life!"

Bringer of Disaster coughed blood, "This crazy son of a. . ."

Erupting Volcano made a sickening grin, "Is that all?"

A pair of wings appeared on Bringer of Disaster's back. One white, the other black.

Erupting Volcano was intrigued, "A half-fallen angel? How do you maintain your title of Holy? Especially in a place like this, with an event as this?"

"It matters not."

The wings flapped and Bringer of Disaster flew forward. Before they crashed into Erupting Volcano, they turned upwards. Floating in the sky they spoke, "[Holy Code: Judgement of Sins]!"

A cage of white energy formed, as it descended a flicker of a dark black energy attempted to overtake the white.

Pain flashed through Bringer of Disaster, "Gotta end this quick, [Holy Code: Trial by Law]!"

A white book formed in front of Bringer of Disaster, dark energy attempted to consume this as well.

Erupting Volcano laughed mockingly, "A fallen angel is attempting a trial by the Holy Code? The irony!"

"Your sins shall be judged in front of the Holy Code! [First Trial: The Counting of Sins]!"

"My sins are impossible to count! Your measly power won't be able to do anything!"

Bringer of Disaster's eyes widened, the sins could be counted through the pages of the Holy Code. However the amount made the writing extremely small! Their eye twitched as they shouted, "You're sins are far to numerous! How has Karma not harvested its debt?!"

"Karma? Hahaha! I'll burn that too! Everything burns underneath absolute power! You'll burn too!"

The yellow and orange substance expanded, slowly melting the bright white bars. Bringer of Disaster grit their teeth, "By the order of the Holy Code, I hereby denounce you for your sins! Thus, your punishment shall be as so: Three hundred years of torture until death! By the law of-"

Bringer of Disaster coughed blood again. The pitch black energy was eroding them and the Holy Code faster than expected. Still, they continued, "By the law of the Holy Code, your punishment shall take effect. . . immediately! [End Trial: Judge's Decree]!"

The light of the Holy Code began to flicker, the dark energy overtaking it. Bringer of Disaster raised their hand. Above a bright white gavel and sound block appeared. Similarly to the other objects, the dark energy began to overtake the gavel.

Bringer of Disaster made a sad smile, "The last of my Holy energy, so be it."

They swung their hand down, "The order is set!"

Erupting Volcano's grin spread wider, "Your order. . . has no effect!"

The dark energy exploded, the once white light turned dark. Bringer of Disaster's white wing turned black. They were shocked! The dark energy of a fallen angel overtook their Holy energy before the gavel could sound! The whole trial has been overthrown!

Erupting Volcano shattered the dark energy cage, "Hahahaha! You think some half-baked Holy energy was enough to defeat me?! You would need an Archangel at the very least!"

Bringer of Disaster laughed at the foolishness of the statement, "You wouldn't be match for an Archangel. With the benefit of doubt, I estimate you'll last three seconds against one."

"Ha! You know nothing. Now, it's time for you to go. Perhaps your angels might forgive you, but that's not likely."

The yellow-orange substance expanded and began to surrounded Bringer of Disaster. The heat assaulted their senses, their skin burning further.

Bringer of Disaster smirked.

Boom-!

The dark energy exploded, scattering the yellow-orange substance. Bringer of Disaster shot forward, fist extended. It was surrounded by the dark energy. A fallen angel still had power! Although it couldn't be compared to the power granted by the Holy Code, it still was quite strong. Bringer of Disaster used the rest he had for this one blow!

Bam-!

Erupting Volcano stopped it with their hand, "This power. . . isn't enough!"

Erupting Volcano punched Bringer of Disaster, their fist piercing through their body and appearing on the other side. They grinned, "Another one..."

They surrounded the corpse with the yellow-orange substance and tossed it to the side.

A screen turned red, the name on it was Bringer of Disaster!

Erupting Volcano looked around the arena, "Only a few more to go."

Flowing Petals' spear moved fluidly. Holder of Devils grit their teeth, this was more than they bargained for!

Every attack Holder of Devils did proved to be worthless. Flowing Petals seemed to predict the attacks beforehand, for they dodged easily.

Moreover every time they were injured, they felt their life force draining.

Flowing Petals' spear twirled, a cut formed on Holder of Devils' leg. Flowing Petals stopped the spin of the spear and thrust it forward, piercing their knee.

Holder of Devils cried out in pain as they fell over. Flowing Petals retracted their spear and thrust it towards Holder of Devils' neck.

Holder of Devils outstretched their hand, the spear piercing it. Holder of Devils gripped the spear, their blood began to run up the shaft.

Flowing Petals quickly freed the spear and spun it, removing the blood. Holder of Devils stood up shakily, "You're crazy, to think I am forced to use this..."

Flowing Petals thrust their spear forward, piercing Holder of Devils' throat. Blood spew forth, gushing like water from a hose. Yet Holder of Devils didn't flinch.

The blood moved, spreading out it formed a wave. It's goal was to submerge Flowing Petals.

The spear spun rapidly, causing a wave of air to deflect the blood. This left Flowing Petals untouched.

The blood regathered and formed spikes, immediately they shot forward. Flowing Petals used their spear to defend themself.

Holder of Devils began to breath heavily, their blood levels reached a critically low level. They had a unique ability to use their blood to attack. However they were unable to control the blood, it had a mind of its own.

A bead of sweat formed on Flowing Petals' face. The blood that scattered reformed. Within seconds Flowing Petals was surrounded with thousands of blood needles.

Flowing Petals knew they would be unable to dodge or block this. So without hesitation they threw their spear. It shot through a portion of of the blood needles.

Holder of Devils' vision blurred. Their consciousness was fading. They looked over only to see a spear heading for them. Unable to react their face remained still as the spear pierced an eye.

Holder of Devils fell, their eyes dimmed. They had died, the spear had taken the remaining bit of life force they had left.

To prove this, a screen turned red. The name on it was Holder of Devils!

The thousands of blood needles fell into a puddle, lacking all signs of it once being active.

Flowing Petals took a breath to recover slightly. They had almost gotten injured during that battle.

They walked over and retrieved their spear. Twisting it quickly to flick the blood off they walked towards the center of the arena. It was time for the final showdown.

Thunder Beckoner opened their eyes, "Only three others. . . it looks like it's time to go."

They walked towards the center of the arena, "It's time the world sees the strength of my spells."

~ ~ ~

Erupting Volcano grinned, "I need to cleanup the last three huh? Very well then!"

The yellow-orange substance flowed underneath and they moved towards the center of the arena.

Travis stood up, he dusted off his clothes and took a breath. He had recovered as much as he could. However he could sense that something big was about to happen. If he didn't take action now, he might not make it.

He saw the three other Champions walking towards the center. He too walked towards the center. It seemed like it was going to be a four way battle.

~ ~ ~

The Royals who's Champions have died held a bit of bitterness. What a waste of resources. They ones who were eliminated threw glares at the four Royals who remained.

Lord Giften, his Champion being Erupting Volcano, had a confident smile on their face. They had invested a lot this time, it was an all-in gamble! His confidence was at an all time high.

Lady Ceral, her Champion being Thunder Beckoner, was also confident. Her Champion had a knack for spells, with the staff she had spent a lot of money obtaining, their chant time was significantly reduced. With near instant spells, the destructive power would be immense!

Lady Rinieva, her Champion being Flowing Petals, was indifferent towards the battles. Either she didn't care much, or she was so confident she knew that her Champion would win. No one was completely sure.

Lord Flinnder had an uncontrollable grin on his face, his excitement grew. The final showdown was here!

Who will become Duke?!
