A princess with a twisted past. When her fate takes an unfortunate turn, she is thrown off her pedestal and into the web of marriage with the bloodthirsty king of the enemy kingdom. Faced with life and death choices, Delaney must decide whether to side with the enemy—her new husband—or her family who betrayed her. __ As the son of the sun goddess, Darius finds his life unnecessarily long and boring. Until he meets his bride, Delaney, the feisty, fiery princess who is rumored to have rejected suitors by the dozen, the only female descendant of his arch nemesis, and a demon princess. When they get married, will he use her in his quest for revenge, or fall in the trap of her charm like every other male does?
"If you were Delaney, where would you run to after roasting an annoying king and probably some of his equally ridiculous subordinates?" Darius asked Felix after running around all day and not finding any sign of her. He was getting more worried by the second. They had gone back to Ivrasea, checked Ylvia's home, and considered that she could have returned to Celossia, but they couldn't even feel her scent anywhere.
Felix stopped for a moment and plucked a flower from its stalk, trying to put his mind in Delaney's situation. "The foggy forest."
Darius stopped. They were already in the foggy forest. "We are in the wrong place, now that you mention it. Her demon is fully out. The slightest trigger would make her lose her mind." He looked down at the mark on his wrist. "No."
"Where do you think she went?" Felix caught up with him, knowing he must have thought of a highly likely place.
