A princess with a twisted past. When her fate takes an unfortunate turn, she is thrown off her pedestal and into the web of marriage with the bloodthirsty king of the enemy kingdom. Faced with life and death choices, Delaney must decide whether to side with the enemy—her new husband—or her family who betrayed her. __ As the son of the sun goddess, Darius finds his life unnecessarily long and boring. Until he meets his bride, Delaney, the feisty, fiery princess who is rumored to have rejected suitors by the dozen, the only female descendant of his arch nemesis, and a demon princess. When they get married, will he use her in his quest for revenge, or fall in the trap of her charm like every other male does?
One glance at the perfume was all it took for Delaney to decide against it. "There's no need. Darius and I aren't going to spend the night together." She brushed it off, immediately realizing what her words had implied. "Uhm…not that I would wear it specifically for him if we were going to spend the night together. I don't mean it that way."
Hearing Sianna's soft chuckle, she stopped trying to explain as it only made things more awkward.
Sianna was relieved when Delaney rejected the perfume. She pondered whether or not to tell Delaney the truth about it and was yet to decide by the time the latter was ready for bed.
"Sianna," she called out before the maid could leave the room.
"My lady?"
"Leave the perfume. I might just want to try it out later." She instructed.
Sianna had no choice but to leave it, even though she felt guiltier than ever.
