The following morning, Marlena awoke to her favorite crow perched on her headboard.
"Good morning," she smiled.
'Prince Zephyr would like to see you this afternoon in the marketplace, near the huge golden statue.'
"When did the prince of Kallistar learn to communicate with birds?" she asked rhetorically, climbing out of bed. "Thank you."
It was a relief that he had not chosen to ignore her especially now when she needed his help more than ever.
"I want to know everywhere the queen has been in the last few months, and everyone she has spoken to," Marlena said.
"Everyone?" Asked the crow in shock.
She patted the bird's head. "I know it's a lot to ask and it's no easy task for anyone let alone a bird. But I need to know who the father of her child is as soon as possible."
