Korbin had left for a meeting, leaving Daphne to sleep in. After that rough night and a restless morning, her eyelids couldn't manage to stay open.
When she awoke again, it seemed like a good chunk of the day had already passed. She was planning on continuing with her research in the vast library, but her stomach growled in protest. She was starving after that work out.
So after a long series of dragging her sore body around and eating, it was already mid-afternoon.
Either Daphne had been particularly loud with her screams or the stone walls of the Northern palace were actually were thin. There was simply no other explanation.
When Daphne walked out of her room to the study that afternoon, it seemed like every single person in the palace cast her strange glances as they passed by.
It probably didn't help that she was walking with a slight limp, her legs feeling like they had been disassembled before being put back together.
