Anika and Lisa were still contemplating on where they would stay that night when a black car stopped in front of their house. The driver rolled down the window and signalled for them to come into the car. Anika squinted her eyes to see who it was and saw it was Rebecca, she and Lisa ran to the car and got into the backseats. Anika looked at the person sitting beside Rebecca, she wiped her face just to make sure she wasn't dreaming and she wasn't it was really Daniel, grinning from ear to ear.

"Are you for real, how did you get out?" She asked as she hugged him.

"I told you I would take care of it," Rebecca said as she kept her eyes on the road while she drove.

"Thank you so much for bringing him back," Anika replied.

"Thank you also for coming to take us, we were still thinking where we were going to stay tonight," Lisa added.

"But Rebecca, where are we going to?" Anika asked.

"I know a small house a little bit far from here and well hidden too."

In the next hour, Rebecca parked at a very lonely place and all of them got out of the car.

"I can't see any house around here," Lisa said looking around.

"I had to park here cuz if I parked close to the house the police would easily get us."

"I don't understand, did I here you say police?" Anika asked.

"Wait you mean the police is after us?" Lisa asked.

"Practically, Daniel and I but technically, we."

"May I ask why?" Anika said almost shouting.

"Because I broke him out."

"I thought you bailed him!" Anika was by now frustrated.

"You should know better Anika, your lawyer couldn't bail him, so how would I. For God's sake it's a murder we're talking about here."

"Wow, I should know better, huh? How would I know better when the worst things have been happening to me? Isabella possessed, a horrific demon killing machine, mom is in a psychiatric hospital, dad abandoned us when I needed him the most, when we needed him!"

Lisa touched her arm to calm her down while Daniel stared in astonishment.

"So all these things happened and no one told me?" Daniel asked.

"You know what, you guys should forget everything that has been happening for the past few days and focus on what we are going to achieve, if we don't stop this dog now it will kill everything, everyone and anyone you ever or will ever love. So let's suck it up cuz tommorow we have to end this." Rebecca said as she looked at all their faces then started walking, they all followed her silently. They passed by a lot of trees until they got to the house.

"What do you mean he escaped?" Mark was enraged.

"We don't know sir, we just came and saw it empty." The officers were very nervous.

"I gave you guys one job to do, one job and you-"

Just then, the officers sent to search for Daniel came in.

"Where is he?"

"We couldn't get him sir, he escaped with a lady."

"You know what, I'll look for them myself," he said as he angrily walked away.

"Ok, so what's the plan?" Lisa asked when they got in.

"Uhm, Anika?" Rebecca said looking at her.

"What, why're you looking at me like that?"

"You read the book."

"So? I already told you what it's about."

"No, you didn't tell us where the knife is and how it works."

"Simple, the knife is buried in the heart of the house which is a secret room behind one of the toilets. And you have to stab the dog, blood must be split which will cause the death of the body and the spirit transferred into the crystal at the top of the knife."

"That sounds easy," Lisa said.

"It's not easy at all, how are we going to get into the house without her knowing and how are we going to stab her, she's my sister and I don't want her to die," Daniel replied.

"Well then, Anika and Lisa will go and get the knife while Daniel and I keep watch. Then, we'll know what to do next."

"Sounds good to me," Anika answered.

"I'm going to bed," Lisa said walking towards the couch.
