Brothers in All but Blood

It began with these superpowers that appeared out of nowhere when a baby in China in the town of Qing Qing began to glow.

In the background, a man began to freak out as to what was happening.

They are a strange phenomenon that came out of nowhere researchers are still wondering till this day how they came to be but society quickly evolved as more and more quirks appeared around the world wide of what was once thought of as a fantasy had become Reality as 80% of the population gained these superhuman abilities each with their own unique individuality and they were dubbed quirks but not all people used their quirks for the right reasons as back then quirks were used for callus and selfish reasons and so a new system was created to counter these people that were dubbed as villains.

And for those to counter the villains are.

HEROES.

They became integral for human society, something that was once thought of as fantasy, and all of that happened 100 years ago.

As a boy, I wished for nothing more than to become a hero, but yet you may be wondering, what of the other 20% well-.

"Ugh!" Yelled out a green haired boy in pain as he was harshly pushed down on the ground by an ash blonde haired boy.

"That wasn't nice Kachan" the greenette whimpers, and hurtfully tells the blonde, the ash blonde threateningly lets a tiny explosion on his hands, and a cocky smirk adorned his lips.

"Shut it Deku you should have thought that before you thought of playing the hero, but you know you can't be a hero without a quirk, you're Nothing but a useless Deku!" the ash blonde haired boy said in a condescending tone looking down at the quirkless boy.

Tears threatening to fall down.

'Maybe He's right i…I can't be a hero,just because I'm quirkless.'

thinking the ash blonde bully was right that he couldn't do anything without a quirk as the memory of the day that everything in his life has forever changed. 

-Flashback- 

An alarm clock in the shape of a large man with blonde hair in the shape of bunny ears but what was easily more noticeable is the giant smile that can be seen, as he is heard saying "I am! here to wake you up!" on repeat. a small hand went out and reached to the snooze button and the person tiredly rose, they turned to a calendar as their eyes widened in awe and excitement. Why you may ask, it's because. 

"It's my birthday!" The little green bean yelled out in excitement as he rushed out his room in a little AllMight onesie as he ran to another door as he knocked at it frantically in excitement.

"Mom! Mom! Wake up! It's my birthday!" He ran around like he ate a basket full of candy.

A woman with the same shade of green hair tiredly walks out of the room but yet a soft smile adorned her lips as she saw her son smile widely for today was his 4th birthday 

The day that all children would gain a quirk. 

"Come on!, let's go to the doctor so we can see what my quirk is!" The green boy was jumping on the ball of his feet as he could barely keep in his excitement as the woman softly chuckled at him.

"Izuku it's 6 in the morning, the hospital doesn't open until 10 a.m." she said as she leaned on the door a bit tiredly and Izuku seemed to notice this and went up to her worriedly.

"Mom? Are you ok? You look tired" he asked her shyly, she smiles kindly at his compassion and kneels to his level.

"I'm ok Izuku, I'm just tired from work is all" she said smiling gently, ruffling his hair lovingly.

"Now why don't we enjoy your birthday? '' She then stood straight and smiled, with Izuku smiling excitedly and nodding his head frantically.

As they enjoy the morning with Inko giving her son an All Might action figure that Izuku, when seeing it, smiles in utter pure joy as his smile was so infectious that Inko couldn't help but smile along with her son.

With then they go to the family computer, Izuku sprints towards the chair and is not able to keep himself sitting still as he bobs his head in excitement, the new action figure of All Might at hand, his mother chuckling at her son's adorable actions as she then goes on the internet and clicks on the play button.

" I don't know how you can keep watching this video, it's so intense," his mother asked.

Buildings demolished, screams Are heard as the camera is showing something as if it came out of a movie.

"What the!? Did you see that !" yelled out a man in shock.

"he was able to save over 100 people in under ten minutes! How!? How is he doing this!? Is this guy even human!?"

The same guy yelled Out In disbelief at what he was seeing. 

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha!" a loud and booming voice could be heard as someone carrying a bundle of people on his back.

Everyone in the video turned to where the voice was heard to a tall muscular man with two strands of blonde hair standing up like the ears of a rabbit but what is easily what is most eye catching was the man's enormous comforting smile on his face, with all feeling a sense of warmth and comfort was felt being washed over them.

"You Don't have to fear cause I am here!" He said in a booming and confident tone that caused people to cheer for the hero that is known as AllMight.

As if a strong gust of wind suddenly appeared from out of nowhere with a blinding light causing little Izuku to smile from ear to ear feeling Inspired from the video of the man.

"Sorry kid but that's never gonna happen so you should just give up on that dream of yours" said a doctor with goggles bluntly not even showing a slip of sympathy to shattering a child's dreams bluntly and cruelly and young Izuku could only stare blankly at the grimm news that he will hear in this moment of his life when coming to the conclusion of being quirkless. 

"Are you absolutely sure that he is quirkless?" she asked the rude man while she really disliked how crude the man spoke shutting her son's dream with little to no remorse but he was a professional in this line of work so she needed to suck it up begrudgingly.

"You see Miss Midoriya in this X-ray that we took on your son before, it shows the extra toe joint on his small toe and-" as the conversation between the doctor and his mother was then beginning to be tuned out.

Back home seeing the video in the morning, with his eyes seemingly like it was empty but yet a small tinge of light was still seen.

Inko standing in the Doorway looked at her son in worry as she began to think.

' was this all my fault did Izuku not gain a quirk because of me?' She Thought inwardly her chest tightened in the feeling of guilt was built but then when she looked back up at her darling boy.

" mom?" He called out to her in a meek tone making her son look more saddened causing her chest to tighten once more.

"Ye-yes dear?" she couldn't help but stutter in response to her son, not wanting to acknowledge how weak her voice made her sound.

"Can I be a hero too? " He said, turning around looking at his mother, tears falling from empty eyes as he had a shaky smile wanting here from his mother.

The sight shattered something within inko and she couldn't help but sob and repeatedly apologize To her son. His eyes dimmed ever more, yet a tiny spark still remains within his eyes.

- present time-

As this memory from 1 year ago passed through his mind, he shook his head trying to push back the memory and the tears with it but then laughter was heard Again.

"Look at this tiny deku gonna cry, boo hoo" one of bakugos lackeys mocked Izuku, laughing in unison at the boy's misery.

Izuku could only stand up and shake his head once more to not let their words get to him.

" Oh look, Deku is standing up. Is he going to cry?" Another lackey smirked at the young green haired boy as he continued to flap his bat like wings.

But then a kid with long outstretched fingers grabs onto one of Izuku's feet and pulls it causing him to trip back down, and in turn causing The group of bullies to laugh at him again.

" tsk like always say deku you are nothing you are beneath me, know your place deku!" Bakugo said rudely as he and his lackeys walked away with the lackeys praising the ash blonde.

As tears began to fall he couldn't help partially agree with Ka-chan but he is surprisingly stubborn on wanting to be a hero.

But then a glimmer from the side of his eye caught from his musings.

Curiosity got the better of him and he went close to the Object of his curiosity he pushed away The rustling of leaves moving them out of the way his eyes widened amazement at what he found.

An odd looking orb with a majestic gleam of color briefly shines off it.

He outstretched his hand towards the orb But as soon was about to grab it electricity quickly snot out at him hitting his hand, somehow causing a small wound to open.

Izuku sucked a breath in pain, quickly taking his hand back looking At the wound that was caused by it, making tears reappear due to the painful experience even as briefly as it was.

But unbeknownst to him a drop of blood fell to the orb seemingly absorbing The droplet of his blood in itself causing lightning to dance around the orb a humming sound coming from the odd object.

It the began to slowly float up Into the air in front of little Izuku he then looks up at it feeling slightly afraid of what the thing is doing the humming sound not indicating anything good he unconsciously took a single step forward without thinking and then s portal Ike gate abruptly opened making the boy jump in surprise and hints of fear just looking at the gate.

But a light gust of wind was felt, something that originally wasn't felt during the day prior, but the light and gentle breeze began to pick up.

But instead of being pushed away he was being pulled into the portal in front of him, but how? 

'How was this possible?' Izuku thought to himself of where this wind appeared from out of nowhere but then a thought Crossed his young mind.

'is the weird gate portal… thing? Making the wind act weird?' Izuku could think fearfully as the pull of wind began to be as powerful as a tornado. But yet somehow the wind only seems to affect only him.

"wha- What's going on?!" Izuku yelled in panic as he was then pulled into The portal and then everything became quiet. 

Only the silence of the woods was left as if nothing grand had ever occurred.

But within the portal a corridor of lightning was shooting In every direction possible, seeming alive and wanting to get out, but no possibility was seen for the energy to leave. By then Izuku was hit by The lightning bolt causing him to scream in pain as the lightning went through his body but he fell unconscious at sheer amounts of pain that he felt in the small window of time.

-POV change: no ones - 

Somewhere in a small village children were playing with laughing people talking to each other about topics that took their interest, a blacksmith helping in trying to rebuild an item to regain its original form.

 and everything seemed to be calm and peaceful, the day then ended as the moon rose And the stars were like sparkling gems in the night sky.

As a single person walks to the water tower in the center of the village their most easily noticeable feature of them is their unkempt spiky blonde hair as he walks up to the water tower. 

As he looks at it and then climbs the latter as he sat on the edge just looking up, stargazing the night sky but then a sound akin to a lightning strike was heard causing the young boy to slightly jump in shock as he turned to see a glow from the empty Water tower his Childish curiosity getting the best of him he went to see what the glow was.

What he found confused him greatly as he saw a boy younger than him holding on to something within his hand, he carefully got closer To see what it was and he was amazed at the orb in the boy's hand but then he shook his head to focus.

" I need to get mom to help" he muttered to himself nodding to himself and quickly climbing down and running home.

-timeskip-

rays of light break through the curtains as they hit the youngman's eyelids as he begins to stir awake then he sits up straight and wincing In pain, he then noticed that he had been covered in bandages and then heard footsteps he turned to see a kind Looking blonde haired lady with some bangs on the side of her face looking at the young boy tenderly.

"Hello" she greeted the young boy softly trying not to scare him, though he couldn't help but keep his guard up.

She notices this and she could only keep her soft and caring gaze on him.

"Don't worry I don't have any plans on hurting you, see" she clarified to him, she even raised her hands to show that she doesn't intend to hurt him or that she's a threat.

"Mom! The village doctor is at the door!" Notifying the voice of what seemingly is her son she then looks to the direction the other voice came from.

"Ok I'll be there in a minute. Can you come here and keep the boy some company at the moment while I talk to the doctor!" she replied back as an ok was heard in response, she looks at the young and gives him a soft smile.

"I'll be back with the doctor after a small talk. My son will keep you company in the meantime. Is that alright?" she informed him in a motherly tone, the boy could only silently nod at her she then softly smiled at him and affectionately rustled his hair.

She then walks off to pass a spiky blonde haired boy as he just stares at him and he does the same in return, causing an awkward silence between the two. the boy just scratches the back of his head looking to the side in an awkward manner the other boy does the same.

But then the blonde boy decided to break the ice.

" So do you feel any better, do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?" He asked with an awkward tone yet a sliver of concern was easily noticeable.

"Oh Um no I'm uh ok just feeling sore is all nothing bad" the boy responded back in kind.

"Good, that's good," the boy nodded at him. 

And the awkward atmosphere returned once again.

But then the greenette noticed something so simple he doesn't know their names he should really thank them. It's just common sense to thank the people that have healed you.

"Um, excuse me?" the greenette shy called out to the blonde and he in response let out a hum signifying that he had his attention.

" I'm sorry if this sounds rude but may I know your names?" The boy politely asked the blonde, seeming to realize that he never introduced himself.

"My name is Cloud, Cloud Strife, what's yours.?" Cloud introduced himself by asking the boy the same question.

The boy thought it was simple enough but then why can't he remember it.

" I…Don't remember" he said sadly looking down feeling a sense of shame because of it.

Cloud feels a sense of sympathy for the younger boy so he then decided to think of a name for him.

"Then why Don't you go by Storm then?" He asks the boy as the boy just looks At him arching a brow.

"Why?" He asked 

" Well we need to call you something I'm not Just going to call you kid or boy it's weird," Cloud stated To the boy.

But another question arose in his mind.

"But why storm?" He asked, with Cloud looking at him thinking of a response.

" Because when I found you at the water tower, you appeared out of nowhere and so did an actual storm as well" He claimed.

"Oh ok that makes sense I guess." the boy nodded in accepting the explanation.

"So I guess you can call me Storm, nice to meet you Cloud" he introduced himself in accepting the name he was given.

-pov change: outside the Strife residence-

" Doctor, thank you so much for your help" Claudia thanked the doctor saving the young boy.

"Claudia please there's no need for thanks I'm just doing my job" the doctor clarified to Claudia.

"But back to the matter at hand I must tell you something about the young man's condition" the doctor said to the mother as she focused on What the doctor has to say for the young man's condition.

"Is he alright doctor? Is there anything I should be aware of about the boy to not accidentally worsen his condition?" She asked the doctor in a concerned manner.

But the doctor shook his head, she couldn't help but sigh in relief of his response, but the frown on the doctor said otherwise, as she began to grow worried.

" The boy suffered a somewhat severe concoction but luckily it seemed that is okay physically but I would say the boy will experience amnesia due to how severe his head Trauma is." He explained to her as she covered her mouth in shock and horror at the thought.

"but I would say that he is lucky due to not getting the symptoms of what happens when having a serious concoction. So There is a possibility for him regaining his memories" he added, causing the mother to feel relief and let out a sigh that the boy could possibly regain his memories.

"But there's only one problem though" he said, seeming uneasy, Claudia could only raise a brow in curiosity.

"And what is that problem, doctor," she asked warily.

" That would be when would he regain his memories, I…I know that It would seem too much trouble for you since You have Cloud and taking care of another child would make things more difficult for you so it would be best that he would be sent To the orphanage At Midgar." he said sadly with Claudia looking at him in shock.

"What!" she Yelled out in shock looking at the man in front of her.

"But he's just a child doctor!" she yelled Out her voice becoming emotional.

"Yes I know that I asked The others in the village if they were willing to take him in but none spoke up for these past five days when the boy was unconscious, no one spoke up about taking him in that includes Your too Claudia." he Said matter a factly at the predicament that they are in, and in being told this she too felt ashamed it's not that she doesn't want to it's more about their situation.

She barely has enough to get by with her son Cloud but adding in taking care of another child it would probably be more complicated she just doesn't know what to do she could only let out a frustrated sigh in response.

"Okay doctor please come in to check up on the boy." she said in defeat.

they both went inside in a cold silence but as soon as they walk up the stairs they start to hear laughing, two look at eachother with curiosity etched on their faces they go to the room that the young man was put in they go inside to both Cloud and the child side by side reading what seems to be a comic book as they continue reading a part where seems to be comedic.

The doctor couldn't help but sadly smile at the scene before him but the decision has been made for the boy to be sent To the Midgar orphanage and he felt saddened at the thought of the child Going to such a place, but he would be able to get a better opportunities if went their to get a better chance at a better life if so.

Claudia is looking at the scene, at both her son and the boy that he just met recently And that the two are laughing together, her Heart tightened with guilt, she sees the two smiling and then she changed her mind.

"Doctor, I'll take care of him," she said only loud enough for the doctor to hear as she smiled at The interaction between the two boys.

 The doctor turned to her. 

"Are you Sure about this?" he Asked not In doubt but more reassurance of the decision she is making.

"Yes, I am" as she Turned back to the two as they were peacefully reading the comic.
