Chapter 40- Faint memory or a sign?

On the other side of the city, in a small shabby inn, Haru lay lifelessly, staring at the ceiling. He almost failed the test, but was able to find one accidentally when he got entangled in some vines. He seriously thanked the gods for giving him hope to enter the sect, but now he has a big big problem.

The test for tomorrow required them to fight. There wasn't any rule where they say that participants cannot bring in weapons, but Haru has no weapons, he has trinkets and junks, but the only thing that could be considered a weapon was a whip he found in his father's grave. He stole the whip, wanting to try and sell them, but the pawn shops do not buy spiritual weapons.

Haru sighed and cursed. He blamed Alexander for everything that had happened. He would always blame him.
