Like the name suggests, it stimulates the brain for a small duration, making everything that was once confusing in the past make sense. This item was of extremely high demand with little supply, Genetic Researchers hoarded these items since they could help them when they reached bottlenecks in their research. Cain was also having some trouble when it came to working on his instant stop gene, so this came at a good time.

The students kept congratulating and sucking up to Cain, he merely smiled and nodded, he had already mastered this skill since he was used to dealing with these annoying people by now. He wasted no time and quickly chugged the elixir the second he was back in his lab, his instant stop that was stuck at peak quality quickly broke through to supreme quality.

The elixir hadn't run off yet however, so Cain decided to keep working. Supreme after supreme quality pill was made, each one could sell for around 21,000 credits, Cain soon had a small pile of them, which could be compared to a pile of gold. However, he felt like he was missing something, like he was only a paper thin wall away from breaking past supreme and reaching a higher quality.

Despite how thin the wall seemed, Cain felt like it was unbreakable. The single piece of information he was missing was like a riddle with no solution, no matter how he thought about it he couldn't find the missing link. Then he remembered the sneeze, that was the catalyst that formed the legendary quality gene he made in the past. He originally thought it was merely a one in a million chance, but thinking about it, he suddenly felt like there was more to that moment.

Cain kept thinking about that sneeze, what was special about it, was it the sneeze itself, or the events that transpired because of the sneeze, or maybe something else, and then, eurika. The answer suddenly became so obvious. Supreme genes are genes that are akin to one from a human body, already reaching perfection, but legendary is a gene beyond that.

It's a gene that has evolved a step forward, granting itself even more power. That sneeze somehow caused the gene to evolve, how exactly that worked, Cain was still clueless, but he felt like he was closer to the truth now.

An example of this would be like humans compared to monkeys, one could consider the monkey a supreme quality gene, already perfect, but a human is like a legendary quality gene, going beyond perfection. What he needed to do now was to figure out how the gene evolved, and how to replicate that process.

Naturally this wasn't an easy thing to do, and most likely it was an impossible event to replicate or else legendary genes wouldn't so rare, but as long as Cain had some sort of idea he could increase his odds of creating a legendary gene. His odds could go from one in a billion, to one in a million.

Cain did different experiments and came to a conclusion, he had somewhat of an idea of how to increase his odds, and so he put his work into practice. His materials kept disappearing as he made more and more pills, he used his slow gene to watch the process in slow motion. Watching the ingredients interact with one another. Weeks went by as Cain continued in this process, he didn't forget to train in the meanwhile, and his combat kept getting more refined. His slow gene was also close to level 8, which meant he needed this new gene even more urgently now.

The beard that he had shaved off in the past grew right back, the room that he tidied up became a pigsty again. He didn't have any time to worry about these things, the new school year was going to start soon and if he didn't finish up soon or he won't have as many chances in the future.

Occasionally he would hear knocks at his door from George, or even other students trying to give him gifts to get in his goodbooks, but he ignored it all and made sure to lock his door down tight so no one could interrupt him. Finally, as the last week of summer was nearly over, a golden glow spread across the room, a warm pill fell into Cain's hands. He had done this process thousands of times by now, every time he'd run out of materials he'd sell his pills and then buy more, but naturally the pills earned far more than the cost of the materials, so he was already very wealthy. Looking at this piece of perfection in front of his eyes, he quickly went to check on its stats.

Just holding it in his hands made him feel stronger, Cain wasted no time before popping the pill into his mouth, this was the second time he'd eaten a gene pill, the first time was with the inner vision gene, but this time it felt much different. He suddenly felt drowsy before falling back onto the floor of his lab. He had a dream, in this dream everything moved frame by frame, extremely slowly. He felt like he was going crazy, but fortunately he woke up after about one hundred frames went by. He quickly checked his new stats.
