#Chapter429
Not everything is as it seems
Kaiden
While everyone was settling down, getting married, and having families, I met someone. His name was Mitch, and he seemed like the ideal guy. The keyword seemed. Mitch treated me well, then chipped at my self-esteem and self-worth.
I remember we were in a grocery store, and I checked out some baked goods. Then, picking up a plastic container of turnovers, Mitch walked up to me. /"That isn’t healthy./"
/"It doesn’t matter. The turnovers look delicious./"
Mitch took the container from me and set it back on the table that held other pastries.
/"If you eat those, you’ll get fat and become unattractive. It’ll make me look for someone else./"
I furrowed my brows.
/"You know how difficult it is to meet someone. Who would want a fatty?/" With that, he walked away from me.
