With the lawsuit still looming over us, we sat at the dining room table and played poker. I have never played cards, so Nash had to help me.

/"How is this fair? You’re helping her?/" Nixon asked.

/"Because Mags doesn’t know how to play poker./" He shrugged, looked at my cards, and whispered in my ear.

/"Are we playing before Nolan makes his arrival?/" Nathan asked.

/"We’re working on it./" Nash waved him off.

/"Why aren’t you girls playing?/" Jace asked.

/"Yeah, no. Did you ever see Nixon when he loses? He tried to land those little pieces of monopoly in my head,/" Kat said.

/"Yeah, well, I still have the scar when Nathan kicked me under the table,/" Macey said.

Nathan rolled his eyes at her.

/"Hey, at least, they didn’t cry like the big baby over here./" Marcy pointed at Noah.
