Nash booked a hotel room for Valentine’s night. It had a dining room with a dance floor. He wanted to spend time alone with me, away from everyone and everything.

We packed and planned on changing in our room. Once we checked in, we made our way to the suite. He opened the door and flipped the switch. In the hotel room, red roses adorned the walls. It was a welcome distraction from the chaotic everyday existence which we call our lives.

I turned to him. /"Did you do this for me?/"

/"No./"

I glanced at him.

/"I did this for Nixon./" Then he smirked.

I smacked his arm while rolling my eyes.

/"Go get ready. We’ll head to dinner./" He smiled at me.

I grabbed my bag and went into the bathroom to change. I fixed my hair and applied makeup, then opened the door to find Nash dressed and waiting for me.

/"Ready?/"

/"Yes./"

He held out his arm as I looped mine with it.
