Nash brought me home. Marco and Jasper weren’t talking to me. Paul, by default, wasn’t speaking to me either. Two can play at that game. You try to help someone, and it blows up in your face.

Nash and I hung out in our room. There was a knock at the door. We looked at each other. Then came another knock. Nixon opened his door with Kat and him sticking their heads out of their room. The knocking became more frequent.

The four of us came downstairs as Jace walked over and opened the door. His eyes widened. /"Grammy!/"

That’s all it took as we ran downstairs and skidded to a stop.

She stepped inside and handed Jace her bag as her purse hung from her other arm. /"Well, I see everyone has settled in./"

Paul, Jasper, and Marco turned to face her.

/"Who are you?/" Paul asked.
