/"Do we have to go?/" The boys whined.
/"Yes, now get in the car,/" Nate told the brothers.
Nixon had found Nolan, who tried to find the car. It miffed him that his family forgot him. Can you blame him?
We drove to a restaurant. I’m not sure if it was a promising idea to gather everyone in a restaurant at the same table. Pat thought it would help ease the tension, as did Dominique. They’re crazy.
We took a seat at the table and glanced at the menu when issues started. Then, the first shot got fired.
/"Jonas, when I mentioned dinner, I thought it would be you, the boys, and me,/" Karen said.
Ladies and gentlemen, Karen has fired the first shot.
/"Well, Karen, you didn’t mention dinner. Pat and Dominique did. So, can you quit taking credit for an idea that wasn’t yours?/"
Shot number two.
/"Okay, fine. So, Maggie./" She zeroed in on me.
I turned to her. /"Yes?/"
